Quick service and friendly staff, but unfortunately the food was quite disappointing. The pizza and burgers lacked flavor and felt very average — definitely not what I expected given the good service.
I just got a carbonara pizza, which suppose to have mushrooms and ham on it. The ham was cut in small ,longer bits. It didn't look like normal ham and it tasted awful! I don't want to think that i got served with some old, leftover ham, but i think that's what it was, as i saw very few pieces of normal ham. Not happy at all..
Just had my first lazzollis and as a serious, experienced pizza enjoyer its already a top choice. Not sure how i havent tried it sooner. Mr. Lazzolli himself is also a gent. They also have a good selection of pasta!
We've been going to Lazzolli for a few years now on and off, but I'm afraid we will likely look elsewhere next time. Food is really good, and the owner who you often see delivering and working at the till is really friendly and helpful. The big downside is that most of the time when we order, it's for delivery, and on most occasions we've used this service you have to be prepared to wait over an hour. Last night, we had to wait 1 hours and 45 minutes. Apologies were made as they were short staffed but honestly, had we been told to expect that early, we would have accepted it and gone elsewhere with no fuss. But the order was accepted, and we were watching the clock wondering where our food was. Rang them to check at 1 hour to be told it's coming, but no time estimate. Called again at 1hr 30 to be told it's on its way. No offer of a refund or anything. Totally unacceptable time frame with poor communication of the delay.
We're over 8 years in Rugby. Lazzolli was the first place we ate from on the day we moved, and they're still making the best kebabs in town. Pitas and sauces from scratch in house, chicken doner made in house with thighs layered on the big rotisserie, and the pides are fantastic. Couldn't ask for better.
Amazing food and great service. The owner is lovely and really puts his heart and soul into making decent food.
First time ordering from Lazzoli. Was recommended by a friend. Absolutely beautiful. Really fresh salad, sauces really lovely. Meat tasty and the pitta bread was outstanding. Brownies and baclava immense 100% will be re ordering. Delivery was quick and food was hot
Best kebab of my life, fresh ingredients even down to the salad. Plus freshly baked pitta/wraps and massive portions means i'll go out of my way to come here! Owner is friendly as well
Best kebab I have had in a long time. Meat was tasty, not greasy, no gritty bits, but the homemade pitta bread and flatbread make all the difference. So tasty!! Will not go back to shop bought pittas ever again. Mr Lazzolli is very friendly and kind. To our suprise, door bell rang again whilst eating our kebabs (one was missing salad and sauce, which was not a problem at all, happy to have just meat. We did not call as we had no complaints), Mr Lazzolli had returned to apologise as he noticed the missing items, gave us the salad and sauce and gifted us with handmade baklavas made by his wife. Amazing!! Thank you so much. Only bit of positive criticism would be to have homemade chips too! But will take frozen chips anytime as long as homemade pittas keep coming :) Buenas noches!
I've been meaning to write a review and here it is :) Our family used to frequently take out from Lazzolli's when we lived in the area. The food is great and the owner was so nice each time we visited that we made a point of ordering from them again when we visited the area again this past summer. It made my list of 'things to see or do' even :) I would recommend Lazzolli's, we would usually pick up some pizzas/calzones and kids meals. Reasonably priced for a family meal. I plan on picking up dinner again from Mr. Lazzolli when we visit again in the future! :)
