Attended here this afternoon with my wife. Nice relaxing atmosphere and the carvery food was excellent. They do appear somewhat short staffed but Trish who was rushed off her feet presented us with great service holding the fort...thank you.

Absolutely amazing! Rebecca B was our waitress for the evening and her service and care was second to none and made the whole evening so so much better! We came out as a group of 9 and she really went the extra mile! Service was fast and the food was hot and tasty and we had extras - very impressed and will definitely come again!

Monday midday, couldn't expect much for atmosphere, but the staff were friendly and accommodating, as we had a toddler with us the waitress (charlie) was very helpful bringing him more carrots and gravy, my partner and I went for a standard size carvery, the meat was perfectly cooked, and all the sides were great, very impressed with quality of food. We would gladly return for lunch in the future.

A few weeks back I made a visit to Gynsills in Glenfield. I ordered a steak and ale pie with chips and veg. The ale in the pie mixed with the steak is a great combo. The crust of the pie was cooked to perfection; it wasn't soggy or undercooked. The chips were crispy! The veg mixed in with the gravy was delightful.

Been to the Gynsills today for a piece of cake. Plenty of empty tables, yet not a single one of them clean. When we finally found a table and went to ordernour cakes, we saw that several of the cakes on display were mouldy (as you can see on the photos that I took of two of those cakes). Tried to tell staff, but no staff to be found. Obviously left without cake. Very disappointing and a health hazard to those eating there. Tried to find an email address for the pub directly, but the website doesnt seem to give one away.

Wow that was a tasty carvery! Such a bargain, I had beef and gammon. Let me tell you those trimmings were all absolutely stunning and the portions weren't shy neither. Rebecca provided service with a smile. Let's go Gynsills!
