Always excellent food and service here. My family love coming here, for all our birthday celebrations. The portions are huge and quality of food is arguably the best in Leicester

I really appreciate how the curries are flavorful, which makes the meal enjoyable. Staff are genuinely nice and welcoming. The restaurant itself is clean, cosy, and has a warm atmosphere that’s great for both dine-in and takeaway. I would say it’s one of the best place in Leicester for Indian and Nepalese Cuisines.

Gurkha Curry in Leicester is always our first choice – we go there regularly and it never disappoints. The food is top tier food every single time, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The staff are amazing – super friendly, easy to talk to, and they always check in to make sure everything’s perfect. We recently went for a birthday and they went above and beyond, giving us a drink on the house and even bringing out a cake while singing happy birthday – such a lovely touch! The atmosphere is always incredible, warm, and welcoming. Honestly, this place sets the standard for both food and service. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food and an amazing dining experience in Leicester.

Blown away by this place. The Butter Chicken is amazing. Really generous portions, fairly priced and the sauce is so thick. Would highly recommend.

A few people have tipped me off about Gurkha and I can see why. I had a take away meal for several people and ordered this through their website which was fast and easy to use. While I was waiting a short while in the restaurant the sizzling plates were going past early in the evening and they smelled amazing. Our takeaway was expansive order and everything was correct and excellent! We had byriani and curry dishes and an aloo saag- rice and bread. They offer a discount on the website for larger orders. They also threw in free poppadoms and dips which was very generous. Also had some free raita too. Again these were all very tasty and the Chutney fantastic. Basically every curry is available with whatever you want meat or paneer wise it seems so suitable for a number of diets. This looked like a busy place so booking is probably advisable at peak times. Again this is a very good place to try and worth the effort in my opinion.

Today was my son's birthday. So we decided to visit Gurkha Curry. The service and food was well below par from previous experience to say the least. I ordered two drinks as I was early with my wife, her coke was ordered with slice of lime, the waitress brought it without. We ordered amongst other starters a sizzler, the content underneath was cold so I returned it. When it arrived the sizzler was reheated. Several times we asked two serving staff for extra serviettes yet only two handed out! Our next round of drinks took 15 minutes. Three times I tried to draw attention of the serving staff to order our mains but no response. When I did manage to draw attention it was the manager who assured me he would be back in few minutes, half hour went by but no one attended. I asked for the bill and asked to speak with the manager too when he turned up he didn't even apologise that he hadn't attended to take our order. Customer service seem to have left the building end off.

Awful service would not recommend at all. Came here for a nice meal with the family to have some tasty and traditional food. We were seated without a menu and were not served for about 40 minutes. Once we had finally ordered, our food took at least 50 minutes to come out. Poor service and would never come here again.

Used to be the Wyvern pub. Looks like its been split in 2. One side is the pub and the other is the restaurant 'The Gurkha Curry'. Its a lovely place not very big, so expect it will get busy on weekends. We went on a Wednesday night about 8pm and it was fairly empty. Food is lovely, had a mixed grill sizzler and a chicken curry. All reasonably priced and standard for this type of place. Service was quick and pleasant. Worth a try.
