   Absolutely incredible. Came here yesterday for my partner’s birthday and everything was amazing from the food to the service. We both got the steak which was delicious and cooked exactly how we wanted it. The waitresses were all lovely and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

   We visited Black Iron in Leicester which is the restaurant within the hotel, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. We went because it is known for its steak and it truly did not disappoint. The quality of the food was outstanding and every dish was cooked with real care. The interior is elegant and the atmosphere feels calm and refined which makes it a perfect place for a date night or a special occasion. The service was warm, professional, and very attentive which added to the overall experience. Everything from the presentation to the flavours felt top level and it is clear that a lot of thought goes into both the menu and the guest experience. I would definitely recommend Black Iron to anyone looking for high quality dining in Leicester.

   100% recommend the Black Iron at Winstanley House. I went with my wife for a wedding anniversary meal. The House and the grounds are amazing as you drive in. All of the staff were excellent and friendly. The servers at our table were amazing. We had the amazing Red Leicester fritters and Vegetable tart for starters. For mains we had Plaice and a vegetarian option and triple cooked chips. All of the food was absolutely perfect, served just at the right time. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding which was done to perfection. Thoroughly recommend. Total with drinks came to under £100 with 8% service included.

   I feel that there wasn’t the best choice of food and the food I was served was eh. The steak was overly chewy at one point and then rock hard at another. The fries were decent. The bread was also okay. The dessert, in my opinion, was the best part! However, it was decently priced and the service was very friendly.

   I didn't actually eat hear I was meeting a friend but omg did the food smell and look absolutely amazing I will be back very soon with my partner to eat hear. I cannot wait. The smells...... oh it was amazing.

   Absolutely amazing place to eat was the best steak I've ever tasted. The building is absolutely stunning along with the grounds & interior of the bar/restaurant. All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about there products & cocktails were out of this world !

   I used to like this restaurant but there has been a clear deterioration in the cooking standard over the last 2 years. Even though the chateaubriand steak was of a decent meat quality, it was spoiled by the cooking. For a medium rear cook, there was lots of blood in the serving pan, not to mentioned the chef had carelessly left the tying string in the steak. The vegetables (kale) was over cooked with signs of being burnt. The desserts were way too sweet and reminds me of school dinner. A far cry from its hey days.

   10 out of 10 food, cannot say much about their main meals -steaks as I don't like steaks, bit seabass was amazing and desert was just taking food pleasure on new level. Cocktails are tasty too.
