Came here for a carvery today. Was 10/10. Definitely my favourite carvery in Leicester. Everything was perfect, the meats, mash, roast potatoes, veg and the yorkshire pudding was just sensational. Can't wait to come back. Service was great.
When I heard about the new winter menu I had to go try it out and was not disappointed.The food came out looking absolutely delicious but not just looking delicious it tasted amazing . The staff are super friendly as always polite and helpful. I had the belly pork my friend the lamb shank, the taste flavour’s had me wanting more. I’d highly recommend trying out the food and the atmosphere of the pub if you haven’t already.
Wow, what a pub the Lime Tree is. We were made very welcome by Sami the manager. He looked after us and my wife who struggles her mobility. When it came to the food it was excellent. I was indecisive it all looked good. Sami recommended a meal that wasnt on the menu which was based around mac and cheese and chicken gyro. It was truly excelent and they shiuld really out it in the menu. We will definately be going back when we visit Leicester again.
Best steak in Leicestershire and beyond! My quest to find the best steak in Leicestershire, and beyond, is over! It's right here thanks to Mollie, one of the few chefs who understand what rare is and how to achieve it to perfection! Perfectly rendering fat while keeping the meat rare is a skill few chefs ever achieve, Mollie is one of the few! The fact she is creating heaven for diners with extremely high quality meat cannot detract from her skills. A chef who knows her temperatures is worth their weight in gold! Anyone can ruin even the highest quality. Absolutely thrilled! Superb venue with lots of different seating options, intimate and sociable. Brilliant decor, very tasteful with theme that is varied but makes sense throughout the venue. Ales kept very well, staff who are professional, friendly and most importantly attentive without being invasive. Immaculately clean, ample parking, brilliant something for everyone menu, very reasonably priced, almost under priced. Absolutely fantastic venue for large parties or something more intimate. Well done to a brilliant team and especially Mollie who is producing steaks that would not look, or taste, out of place in a Michelin star restaurant!
Tried the Lime Tree as it was recommended to myself. Warm and friendly with a chilled/relaxing atmosphere. Food I had was perfection especially the Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup was excellent. Highly recommend.
One of my current favourite locals. A very welcoming pub and restaurant. Whoever runs this is making a real effort. So manly little touches throughout make this place quite outstanding. A great menu with lots of variety and a few rare items on it too. The food is of good quality and is very reasonably priced. Lots of dining is available in covered area which is also really nice. We have visited with an elderly relative who has a wheelchair and the staff couldn't do enough to help. Service is very good and both friendly and professional. The Lime Tree is usually busy (I'm clearly not the only one who likes it there) but this has never had a negative effect on my experiences there. No reservations in recommending. Just make sure to book.
Great pub and restaurant. Somethings didn't go as planned, missed desert, or forgot drinks, but the staff where quick to respond and made sure we had what we wanted. On one occasion I ordered the wrong desert and they swapped it no questions. Very quick with the food, there was 10 of us, and it all came out together. Very impressed with service and quality of food.
Food was lovely service was great and the meal prices are good in comparison with the size of you meal . I really enjoyed the food and look forward to come back .
