Very attractive restaurant with a menu that is creative and interesting. Drinks are very reasonably priced, the sharing platter was excellent, as were the main courses. The Gorkhali Kitchen Special was a particular hit. Service seemed a bit distracted, but perfectly pleasant.
This place is a total scam! I ordered prawn biryani on a buy one get one free offer, but they only sent one portion,blatant cheating. The food was disgusting, swimming in oil, tasteless, and completely inedible. They threw in a papadom, but it was soggy and stale instead of crispy. To make it worse, the order was delivered late. Absolute waste of money, time, and energy – they are just fooling people with fake offers. Avoid at all costs!
Went for a family meal with a toddler. We ordered the both the chicken and veggie momos and crispy aubergine, which was lovely, to start. The momos were water logged and not really what I would call monos but chicken kebabs in momo wraps. The mains were ridiculously chilli. To the point where all 4 adults were unable to eat much of the food. My dad eats green chilli's with every meal and even he found the food chilli. We ordered the chicken, lamb pots and aa veg biriyani, which was also ridiculously spicey. We ordered mild veg rice which the veg was burnt. Such a shame that the food was inedible.
excellent day out. Brilliant beer like it should be and probably cheapest in leicester! The food is very authentic and tasty. It is always busy. It has now become my regular. Best to book a table especially at weekends.
I dined at Gurkha Curry with a colleague from work. The ambiance was excellent, and the cuisine was truly exceptional, among the finest I've ever experienced. Manisha, our server, exhibited outstanding professionalism and expertise in her service.
Great (vegan) food (as I am a vegan myself) and friendly, helpful service. Had a lovely meal at Gurkha curry tonight, tried a selection of their most popular vegan dishes, as recommended by Hari and Bipin, and they were all delicious! Thank you for the excellent service and tasty food, we will definitely visit again.
Requested some dishes to be mild, I understand base gravies/sauces are pre made but my dishes tasted as though additional chillies were added. Zero effort was made to cater for a customer's needs. Service good over the phone so no complaints on that side
All the staff especially the head waiter are amazing. Most welcoming bunch of people you'll ever meet. The food is also my favourite Indian in Leicester. 10/10
Went for a casual pint , saw they served food when the waiter was taking it for serving, it looked so good we ended up eating there. Was really amazed by the food, mouth watering taste, really nice service, staff is exceptionally welcoming and friendly which makes a huge difference. Would highly recommend anyone who is looking to eat out in Leicester. Not surprised each review is five star! You guys deserve it. Will definitely come again, keep up the good work.
