   I had an amazing experience at Mirch Masala Leicester! The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The Jain menu was a great option and really appreciated. Their sizzlers were especially good — smoky, tasty, and full of flavor! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout. Prices are also quite affordable for the quality and portion sizes. Highly recommend Mirch Masala Leicester to anyone looking for tasty Indian food with great service and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

   I came here today with my sister for a meal to celebrate Hindu New Year, but was left very disappointed with the service that was provided. To start with, it took quite a while to get seated, despite it being relatively empty. When we did get seated, we ordered our food (chilli paneer, veg hakka noodles and crispy bhajiya). We did ask for tap water twice and did not get it. It took quite a long time for the food to come, and when it did, we were very disappointed. For starters, the crispy bhajia were very flavourless and the chutney was just tomato and very flavourless. After that, the food just wasn't flavourful and up to our standard. This is our second time visiting, and we were both shocked that it was like this this time around as somehow, the takeaway version was way better. The waiter did ask us if everything was okay and I was truthful and told him what was wrong. He did apologise and said that he would pass the message onto the chef. We paid and swiftly left. We actually just called our mother to inform her about our experience here and she told us to pass the phone number on. We did and she called us and they had such an attitude towards her, and said phrases like "dont waste my time" and really hurtful things. He also hung the phone up on my mother and my mother wasnt even rude about it, she was just informing them about the experience that we had. Frankly, I would never come back here, the food sucks and wasnt worth the price, customer service was terrible and I still don't know how they are in business.

   0 ratings This was, without exaggeration, the WORST dining experience of my life. Shamefully people said serve Indian food its insult the name of Indian food The food came out cold, greasy, and looking like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. My “paneer makhni worst ever and naan was basically a leather shoe with grill marks, and the methi paneer had the consistency of glue. I wouldn’t feed this to my pets.    Mirch Masala in Leicester is a well-loved spot with a unique setup. The venue actually has two different stores. On weekends, there’s a makeshift stall outside that operates until 7pm. This pop-up offers a tempting range of street food and drinks, including chai, fresh coconut juice, sugar cane juice, and ice-cold cola. Snack lovers will find plenty to enjoy, from samosa chaat and ragda chaat to paneer chilli and vada pav, among other favourites. Personally, I’m a big fan of the ragda chaat, which is excellent value at just £6. The flavours are spot on and it’s always freshly made. Step inside, and you’ll find a full restaurant with stylish décor and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. The customer service is consistently warm and attentive, making it a great place for both casual meet-ups and family meals. Overall, Mirch Masala offers a fantastic experience whether you’re grabbing a quick bite at the weekend stall or dining in. I’ve always enjoyed my visits and would happily recommend it. 2. Leicester Eats & Sips ★☆☆☆☆

   We have visited Mitch Masala multiple times before, but this was by far the most unwelcoming experience we’ve had at any restaurant in Leicester. The staff member serving us was abrupt and clearly more focused on closing the restaurant than providing a good dining experience—despite the fact that there was still an hour left until closing time. When we arrived, we asked if they were still open, and while the response was “yes,” it was delivered in such an abrupt manner that we were left confused about whether we were actually welcome. Once seated, we noticed that all the tables had been pre-set for the next day, and we were placed at an uninviting table. When we requested to move to a nicer spot by the window, the staff member refused at first, but when we insisted, he simply walked off without a word. The food was equally disappointing. We ordered a Chilli Paneer, a vegetarian pizza, and a plain Dosa. The plain Dosa was fine, but the Chilli Paneer was drenched in sauce—more like a pasta dish than an Indo-Chinese meal. The vegetarian pizza was so basic that it looked like something a child could make in a school cooking class. To make matters worse, a hoover was left in the middle of the restaurant, and during our meal, the staff started hoovering at full volume, making it clear they wanted us to leave. When we ordered a second Dosa, it arrived burnt. I took it to the counter to request a replacement, but instead of an apology, I was met with attitude. The staff member asked, “Why do you want another one?” and only after repeating myself did he snatch the plate from my hand. He eventually brought another one, with the chef staring at us from across the restaurant, making us feel even more uncomfortable. This experience has completely changed our perception of Mitch Masala. The unwelcoming attitude and lack of hospitality made us feel like a burden rather than valued customers. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

   I ordered hakka noodles and Chinese bhel delivery from the restaurant. As soon as I opened the box I realised I was scammed. The restaurant literally used vermicelli instead of noodles. Taste is absolutely disgusting. Moreover the smell was weird and had to throw the food away. Never buying from the restaurant again.

   It was OK experience. Ordered paneer burger and paneer tikka sizzler. I like paneer a lot. Both were below average in taste and bun was bit dry. Taste was blend. Hospitality and service was good. Had 3 staff in weekday lunch. Over all 3.5 star from me.

   Mirch Masala. I have tried this place in the past at many occasions. Their food is not proper Indian Desi Style but it’s somewhere closer. I don’t like their Masala chips. It’s fried and soaked in tomatoes ketchup with coriander herb on top with few chunk small tomatoes. I liked their Paneer Masal Dosa. It wasn’t bad. They have always been overpriced for their menu item. The good part is you always find most of the items at place. Good isn’t too bad. Open till late depending on days. They also do Pizzas (Asian style and ingredients) Hand wash area is available (I think is also attached to that) Car parking is available- not free. Street parking is free if you find a space. I will probably try their Chilli Tofu one day.

   HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This is hands down one of the best place for proper vegetarian food in Midlands. We travelled all the way from Birmingham to have their food. Amazing papdi chaat, then continental, then fast food, the mocktails everything was super fresh and delicious. Great customer service ever. Enjoyed soo much.

   Really nice place. They were very busy when we went, and we waited 5-10 minutes for a table but we understood as they were jam-packed at the time. We ordered a dabeli and tofu pizza (asked for the vegan option). The vegan option had vegan cheese (tasted like violife, super yummy) which was a lovely surprise. The tables and bathroom was clean. There's one womens bathroom and one mens bathroom.
