⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just had a fantastic meal at Sultan Mahal in Westgate, Halifax! Ajmal and his team truly go above and beyond with their customer service. The new addition to the menu, the chicken chilli garlic balti, is absolutely amazing and highly recommended. The Dal Tadka is divine—out of this world when paired with Basmati pilaf rice. I also enjoyed the meat achaari as a side dish, which was equally delicious. Thank you so much, Sultan Mahal Halifax, for a wonderful dining experience! If you’re looking for the best Indian meal in Halifax, look no further. I’ll definitely be back! ---
Good food. Fresh and tasty. We had poppadoms and pickles, followed by Sheesh kebab and onion bhajis. Main course was chicken dopiaza and chicken laziz, plain pilau, mushroom pilau and garlic naan. Quick and polite service. Will happily use again.
Nice folk but the Sultan used to be top curry, not now compared whats around.
Good points, food is good and you get a generous portion. Chapattis were fresh and delicious. Bit annoyed to discover I was charged £8.90 for a vegetarian meal that said £5.90 on the menu and cost more than king prawns or chicken!! Was this a genuine mistake? Would have given them the extra money as tip but didn't because of this. The waiter also regaled us of his misdemeanor tales for far too long which was a bit boring. Better to stick to just taking the order in future, please!!!

Difficult to find, but very helpful staff directed and welcomed us at the door. The service was brilliant and helpful, the curries were beautiful: tasty, and the spices were to perfection. Good options for veggie and vegans too. Very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place to all and i will be returning.
I had an excellent meal here tonight. The curry was fresh and well spiced and the chapati was great. I really couldn't believe that the restaurant wasn't busy as I rated the food very highly. If this was my local restaurant I would be more than happy, and I recommend the people of Halifax to support it.
