Great little spot with good prices and fresh cooking. I ordered a large cheeseburger meal which included chips and a drink. Bread for the burger was unique inasmuch as it’s actual bread and not the typical additive-filled bun. The patties themselves were freshly-cooked and the charcoal grill was present in the taste. The cheese was a strong American-style slice and the taste was perfect (I’m glad there wasn’t two on the double cheeseburger due to the flavour). The chips were impeccable, due to their freshness and the real vinegar which they use, this is a nice touch which even chip shops don’t bother with nowadays, this provides a great taste. The drinks selection was wide and beyond the usual choices (there were both Monster Energy aswell as reasonably priced milkshakes). I’d definitely recommend due to the freshness, and the fact that other spots nearby charge the same for significantly worse quality.

I've been going to Uncle Sam's for years. I even used to go out of my way, as the burgers have been that good. My last recent visit was awful. There was a slight miscommunication, as the language barrier was difficult for me to understand. I ordered a double cheeseburger, salad, relish, chips. The wait was fine, received my bag with food inside. I drove the 10 miles home, and opened my bag. All seemed good, until I tasted the burger. The worst burger I have ever had. Absolutely no flavour or taste to it whatsoever. I could taste the chargilled smokeness to it, but that was it. The salad was almost invisible and no relish. Honestly..awful. After all the years I've been going there, I will never go back. No stars for the food.

Not what it used to be. Burger dry. Sauce lacking. Had to find the onions. Thick bun. Horrible. My wife was very upset and won't speak to me now and has gone to bed early.

Have been eating here for 35 years. Just had the worst burger ever. The burger was thin and rubbery , the bap was hard. This place has gone right down hill.

Ordered a large order through Foodhub to collect (too far out for delivery) when we got there the order hadn't arrived from Foodhub, food was freshly prepared in 20 minutes (family of 7)all spot on, owner was amazing and super apologetic, got half way home and had a call apologising that some of our order was still there, they did offer to deliver but we are outside of their delivery area so we went back. Very apologetic and gave us some free bits (which he didn't have to as he bent over backwards to get our order sorted) we all thoroughly enjoyed our fresh burgers, fries and pizzas, my hubby and I are looking forward to a slice of cake with a cuppa later! Thank you guys! If you haven't tried Uncle Sam's definitely give it a go, we'll worth the money

It has really great burgers and it has a great charcoal taste. My friends from Manchester, Liverpool and Germany were in Cardiff for a few days and they all have fond memories of these burgers as well as the pizza.
