Rude staff, missing sides, and being overcharged — avoid late at night I used to visit Indian Express regularly but had a really bad experience on Halloween night. The place was crowded with many drunk young people; staff were openly laughing at and making fun of customers. I ordered a rice curry meal (around £8.80) and none of the sides were included. We had to keep asking for them. Three of us asked for chicken spring rolls but were initially handed veggie spring rolls and the card machine was waved at us as if they wanted more money. One friend was charged extra for the same lunch box that’s normally “medium” size in daytime. At night they gave a noticeably smaller box but still charged the medium price. When we asked about the curries, staff just laughed and gave unhelpful answers. This felt like being scammed and treated disrespectfully. Very disappointed. I won’t be coming back and I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially late at night.

Curry box size choices were medium and large. The medium portion size was generous. My choices of veggie chick pea curry and spinach paneer were OK but the accompanying onion bhahi was inexplicably raw after several minutes in the deep fat fryer - oil too cold? Also the egg fried rice base was very greasy and the server avoided giving me much of the tempting eggy crust, even though I asked nicely.

Food - was delicious, and the staff explained what meal size would be best for me. The food I ordered was prepared fresh, so I waited a few minutes. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. You can sit and eat or take away your food. The staff were friendly and polite during my visit.

First time I ate here ,The place is very clean they layout is very impressive and tempting. I orderd a chicken tika with rice. Only thing I didn't enjoy was that their was far to much sauces over powering the rice and chicken. But I will definitely come back and try the starters. Service was great.

First time trying food here and wont be the last. Ordered a hot chicken curry with 1/2 rice and chips and naan bread. The food was outstanding and was very well-cooked and seasoned. The nanny bread made fresh to order too... Only thing I'd say are the staff are not the happiest or most welcoming of people. Maybe they can work on being more polite and happy?

Walking through town needed a quick fix. I was drawn to the shop like a moth with its bright lights and well lit food display which all looked outta this world. The shop does exactly what it says on the tin with its streetfood menu. All curries served look very watery and put me off bar the chicken tikka masala which was thickened by the cream. So i bought that with chips, fair to say portions were decent. However, for streetfood i paid restaurant prices. Needless to say i did enjoy the meal and the keema nan was delicious with fresh green chilis. The workers had no regards for the customers. One of them was lugging what seemed to be chicken fillets in bags and placed them on the floor on shop floor -not hygienic. And the other guy, who made the bangin nan, was walking around like a goon with his hood on- abit of an antagonist. While i was eating my meal he walks upto me encourages me to eat the keema nan, which was half eaten, as if i was about to toss the bread across the road unto the philharmonic. Very unprofessional.
