nice portion sizes...seemed to lack spice /heat in some dishes but that's more down to personal preference..lot of food for the money though
What can I say, first time of ordering and will be the last. No mint sauce salad etc and poppadoms crushed to death like crisps. Rang restaurant who said they would deliver items in 20 minutes, two hours later nothing had arrived. Rang again and got cut off! Nothing received at all! At least we could hunt the prawns in the King prawn biryani whilst waiting, couldn't find many though so that didn't take long! A spoilt evening meal, thanks Rahies! Total waste of money
Apparently the UK has the best Indian takeaway but I was sadly disappointed with Rahie’s Takeaway. I ordered the saag with lamb which had good texture but the flavor was missing something. I also order the Matar Paneer and though it was advertised as Peas and Indian Cheese in creamy sauce, in the UK you have to specify that you want Indian cheese or else they will give you melted mozorella type cheese which is awful. So I specified I wanted Indian cheese and was disappointed with what I got. I called them just to ask if they had actual Paneer which does not melt and which I’ve grown up eating when ordering Indian takeout. They said they never heard of Indian cheese and that paneer is melted mozerella type cheese from a supplier. Very odd. Anyway, I’ve attached a photo of what matar paneer should look and what I got. The first picture was my expectation, the second was what I ended up getting. The service was nice though.
Possibly the best Indian takeaway in WSM. The food is always excellent, large portions and delivered on time. I made a mistake with the delivery time when I last booked, but a quick call to the restaurant and they rescheduled the delivery. Highly recommended.
I have ordered from Rahies several times in recent weeks. They are consistently 5 star quality and service with very reasonable prices and delicious food. Very competitive with other local Indian takeaways and definitely my new favourite.
Honestly this is my go-to Indian Takeaway in Weston-super-Mare. The food is nice and never too greasy and the prices are very reasonable. Sometimes collection estimates can be wildly off which is frustrating. Nonetheless Rahie's is a local family business and they offer a lovely curry at a good price. Most of the time collection service is pretty quick too.
