   Bought 2 items for my wife couple of days before Christmas & unfortunately got wrong size, when I bought them ( paid cash ) the shop assistant said I would receive a e Mail receipt which I never got & didn’t get a till receipt. Went through customer service On Line & within 24 hrs & giving them some information was told to take them back and I would receive a refund or gift card Went to the shop yesterday & all I had to show was the e Mail & was given a gift card with the amount on. Absolutely 1st class from customer service & the shop assistant

   We visited the store today and received fantastic Customer service in the menswear department. We were made to feel really welcome. The two ladies were really friendly. They offered us a scratch card each which gave us a great discount on our purchase. We will definitely pay them another visit.

   What awful miserable staff seriously unhelpful. Needed a crowbar to get any member of staff to smile. Better atmosphere im a morgue. Went into the store with my wife today i Would never go back. Would not rcommend to anyone. Only went in to exchange an item that had broke seriouusly poor quality. Would not recommend. I would like the manager/head office to contact me but I bet they do not. If i could I would give them minus 5 stars for quality and miserably staff. Walk past do not go in.

   I had a bag bought for my birthday by a close family member I June 2022. I loved the bag dearly. It is unfortunate sadly to say that today the last broke away. I was upset. I took the bag back to halifax store today to show the bag and explain it was a present and simply wanted an exchange. The manager and staff insisted on a receipt and continuously repeating we must help you but no-one helped but listening to them and the body language showed totally different.! After a bit of searching my family member sent me the receipt but the ma after Estelle only wanted to give me the sale price not the full amount paid for the bag. I believe it is a legal requirement to give the full value back or simply put the bag under warranty as an exchange. It is simple to keep a customer happy. After a long tooing and frooing 30 minutes I managed to purchase a different bag and to my horror when I got into the car it has a mark underneath. I cannot go back to the store as they were awful. The quality is extremely poor. Fair warning buer beware stay away. From Halifax store or River Island horrendous service and poor quality. Go somewhere else.

   I've shopped at this branch for a over 20 years and customer service is lacking. The staff members are rude. Dont say Hello, ask you if you want a bag, very unhelpful. I've witnessed on a number of occasions the serving staff talking about customers in personal matters. I've also experienced on several occasions to be overcharged on my receipts, which I was informed I couldn't have. I did have to ask for very firmly (paper copy) overall waiting time to be served unacceptable. Serving members talking to each other. No eye contact zero experience. I now shop at the white Rose branch. Much better service and majority of staff have smiles on their faces and helpful. This branch needs an inspection.
