   £7 chicken goujons was 5 pieces of 2 to 3 inch of straggly bits of chicken no fatter than 4mm in diameter. Rib eye steak was small and far from cooked to how it was requested. It was a peace dry overcooked leather on a plate. The meal was meant to come with onion ring but the "chef" literally couldn't be bothered making them. The service was was good and the lady that served us was very apologetic. From what I have just eaten I would not recommend this place. The chef makes the restaurant, this one really let the restaurant down

   Came for Sunday dinner, good service, nice friendly staff. Good plate of food which was hot, but sadly most of the food was quite tasteless, gravy, meat, veg. Improvement suggestions would be steamed veg rather than boiled or less time cooked, roasted potatoes maybe add rosemary and garlic or other seasoning to them, a richer gravy, and a better cut of meat both the beef and chicken was quite chewy. Other food they serve here has been very nice especially the fresh cut chips. Maybe some music in the dining area to add a bit of atmosphere.

   Sadly we ordered the belly pork which is new on the menu. The belly pork was dry and tough and lacked in taste. The crackling was chewy not very crispy. Very disappointed. We left most of it as it was impossible to eat. The kind lady behind the bar deducted one of the belly porks from the bill. I certainly would not have wanted to pay £30 for them both. The one star was for the helpful lady who took our money

   Went on Sunday afternoon. Overall the experience was OK. The starters were great (garlic mushrooms and chicken goujons) but some of the Sunday roast meats were disappointing (ham was good but the chicken and beef less so). The service was slow and it felt as if there weren't enough staff.

   Nice clean pub, but the colleagues (although very polite) seemed stretched. Ordered a cappuccino and it took over 10 minutes to make. Was then told it would be a while before we could order (there were only one other family in the eating area, the place was quiet). The food then eventually came and was pretty average. Probably won't return. Shame really.

   Just arrived home from visiting here for a spot on Sunday lunch. Very nice looking pub, lovely and warm inside (which is a plus for the current crisis) and great atmosphere. The three meat Sunday roast is a winner and the portion sizes are fantastic for the price. Very extensive children's menu, nice to have a varied choice instead of just the usual nuggets and chips. This place should be on everybody's 'must visit' list!

   Nice clean pub.staff very friendly and helpful.The food is excellent served well and pipping hot.You never seemed to be rushed between causes.well worth a visit.Will definitely go back very soon.
