The Fisherman’s has become the local it was always meant to be, all thanks to the Sims family & their hard work! Excellent choice of beverages & snacks to choose from, the events they put on from live music, quiz night, open mic night & soon to be LEGO days, there’s always something going on! It’s dog friendly with treats & water waiting for them at the side. Child friendly, there’s colouring, building blocks and more to choose from to keep them occupied. You wont find more kind, funny & caring landlords. I’ve been lent a hoodie to walk home in because I was cold, crocs to go home in as I couldn’t walk in my boots anymore and fed multiple times because I forgot to eat! You could go to the Fisherman’s alone & someone will talk to you, everyone who goes is lovely as Pete & Karen have made it such a wonderful place to go.

A fantastic country pub with everything you’d want from a proper local! It’s right on the canal, and the beer garden has lovely views over the fields – the perfect spot for a drink in the sunshine. The landlord and staff are really friendly and welcoming, and it’s a great place for both families and dog owners (there are treats for the pups, which is a lovely touch). There’s a brilliant selection of drinks and snacks, plus some fun extras that make it stand out – a dart board for a bit of friendly competition, and even Lego to keep the kids entertained while you relax. A gem of a pub that manages to be both traditional and family-friendly. Definitely worth a visit!w

Went to The Fisherman's Inn twice in two days. Found the landlord charming and genuine. He talked me through all the local beers with enthusiasm. Next day we had a lovely meal, look at the pictures of the Sunday roasts. I had the Fisherman's Fish Pie which was a delight. There was also music on the Sunday, from the very talented Daisy Wardle.

Great pub, with an enthusiastic landlord really trying to make it a success. Situated next to the canal a great location. Good range of ale's. Dog friendly. Great food. I had the best burger fries and slaw ever. Presentation was excellent and the ratio of bun to burger was spot on. Would certainly revisit.

Went on a Sunday lunch time and had roast beef. The plate sizes are on point if you are a bigger eater or combating a hangover. It's dog friendly, with dog treats and water bowls. Good parking and right beside the river.

Absolutely amazing....The food was delicious and portion sizes were fantastic. All the staff were really friendly- even our lovley Labrador was treated to a treat of roast beef for her 14th birthday! Thank you so much, absolutely 100% recommend. 5 paws!!!

Exceptional food, and loads of it too. If we come back this way on the canal again, we will absolutely be returning.

Excellent food and presentation, pub now busier with new chef, only negatives would be sharper cutlery, lose the sign inside the gents, and some staff could be more attentive.

6 of us went for Sunday Lunch soon after opening and everyone who had beef Sunday roast said they beef tasted like it had been reheated after being frozen.... everyone’s slices of beef looked the same. We checked when ordering that mashed potatoes included and told yes but they aren’t. A member of staff serving had no idea what vegetables were included. The only decent meal was the Steak pie and chips which the person said was very tasty! All 6 said we wouldn’t eat there again and really poor customer service
