A very friendly pub in the village of Thornton. Moved here a few weeks ago after 40 years away. Great atmosphere in the evening. Person behind the bar was experienced as knew who to serve next. Will become my local for sure well done

The black horse is a little gem of a pub in the heart of Thornton village. Dee and Ian the hosts are so warm,friendly and welcoming and have always got time for you. The black horse has a fantastic atmosphere, gets quite busy and caters for everyone all year round. There's a lovely beer garden to sit in in the summer and when winter is here its nice and toasty inside with the heat from the wood burning stove. So come on give this little pub a try!
