   It’s been a while since I’ve been here and I think it changed. It feels a bit smaller now, but still a great and busy place. Coffee: if you like a big bowl of milk, go for it. But for a coffee snob like me, it’s not something I’d highly recommend. Food: surprisingly good. Pictured here is the bean shakshuka with sausage, and it was absolutely delicious. My only minor complaint would be the bread is not thick enough, and could do with maybe 50% more bread. But it was a dish that would make me want to return. My wife had steak and chips and said it was very good. Kids had fish finger sandwich, which looked epic, and CBA which also looked good. Portion sizes are material and significant! Would return!

   We have been regulars at this café for some time, as it’s local to us. The setting itself is beautiful, but unfortunately the experience inside doesn’t match it. The space is cluttered with signs telling customers what they can and cannot do, which creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. It’s clear the café is geared towards cyclists, and unless you fall into that category you don’t feel particularly welcome. That said, looking at other reviews, even many cyclists have commented on the rude service from the owner. Sadly, this has been consistent with our own experiences. It’s a real shame, as the location deserves someone who understands hospitality and knows how to create a warm, inviting environment. I look forward to returning one day, but only if and when the management changes to someone better suited to running such a place. However, the local pub in Tugby, The Fox & Hounds, is fantastic. Very welcoming, with a great variety of meals and drinks to suit everyone, and all very reasonably priced. Whether you fancy cycling, walking in the local area, or just want a coffee, lunch, or evening meal, I’d highly recommend visiting the village pub instead of this café. I’ve included a photo to show the beautiful view — sadly spoiled by just a few of the many unwelcome signs scattered around, which seem every bit as uninviting as the owner.

   Super cafe, try the ginger cake, awesome! Not surprisingly, they welcome cyclists. Still a great choice for the coffee stop, out even a rather good breakfast for those not on the bike

   Fantastic little cafe that’s a go to place for cyclists as the name suggests. Lots of food options, both hot and cold, are available as well as a wide variety of drinks. My grandson and I love their extremely tasty sausage rolls. Great atmosphere inside and outside seating for when the sun shines. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Needless to say we highly recommend Ventoux and will definitely be back.

   First time in the new place after years going to the old place on my bike. Coffee and cake still good. Obviously looking for a broader clientele with deeper pockets and not too bothered about loosing the cycling crowd. Lost the cafe feel completely, more like a restaurant. Bike parking way too far from the cafe to feel safe - bring a lock.

   This is a really great cycling cafe. It's interior is really quirky and the staff are very friendly. The coffee on offer is of an amazing standard and would recommend. I haven't tried the appealing cakes or breakfast but I think I'll try them out on future visits. It's location is great and you can plan your cycle rides in the Leicestershire countryside to include a coffee and refreshment break at the café. Highly recommend whether your cycling there or going by car. Review update: The above still holds true, visited today as part of a bike ride. Just wanted to call out and emphasise that the staff are really friendly and lovely. I'm not sure what the lady's name is but she definitely was a popular character with the visiting punters. She was genuine character with a super friendly aura. Well done! Review update 29/08/2021 As part of our cycling ride this morning we decided to get a veggie brekky as we've been here a number of times and have seen the breakfasts that come out of the kitchen which looked fab. We usually just used to get a coffee. The breakfast was top class 10/10. Would definitely recommend. Although if you're cycling after the breakfast I probably wouldn't recommend a large one! All the items on the plate were delicious.

   What a find, popped along for a geocaching event and the breakfast was great, really tasty and thoughtful. All elements were top quality and so worth it. Plus, Choxi & Abby loved their doggy treat. We sat outside but inside was nicely setup with friendly staff Thanks
