We had the Christmas dinner, Turkey option for Sunday lunch yesterday. It was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, quality ingredients and would highly recommend. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

The staff service was great i couldn't fault it just need to ask if the food was alright after we have eaten not as people mouths are full of food most places do have that issue tho. The food wasn't as good I have eaten in lots of different places all over the country and different parts of the world I wouldn't recommend the steak and ale pie cost of nearly £18 very over price for 3 items special when its smaller then a pork pie you can get better ones in morrisons with more meat in it the beef brisket was all right to begin with but it was harder to eat as you went on the chocolate brownie was dry. The food quality doesn't live up the the price or value in the food if you are going to charge high prices you need the food to match it. I would say about average.

A great experience, food was exceptional and reasonably priced. Yorkshire puddings were perfect!

Really excellent fayre. The black pudding / poached egg starter was cooked to perfection and the vegetable offerings served with the halibut were original and again to the same standard. I have already booked to eat here again which tells it's own story.

We had Sunday lunch at midday. A great little pub along a country lane, with expansive views across the valley. The food was great, the Steak & Ale is probably one of the best that I’ve had, not too big but full of flavour. My wife had a small turkey roast dinner and really enjoyed it. With the small you get half of a Yorkshire pudding, but that in itself is still bigger than most you’ll find at a carvery elsewhere. Staff were very attentive and there was also great choice on the specials board. The toilets are located upstairs but were very clean.

The food was lovely, no complaints at all from a group of 13 family members is testament to that. The service was excellent, all dishes arrived at the same time by cheerful staff. The inn accommodated our few personal requests. A very lovely few hours at a very reasonable cost. Definitely advise a visit. Anne M

Visited this evening and had a lovely time. The food was top notch and the duck breast from the specials board was fantastic. Really enjoyed our family meal and was very pleased with the attentive service and pleasant staff. Good value for money as well.

Brilliant food, good range of beer and lovely service. Great location too. I’m sure they will win lots of awards. We can’t stop ourselves from going back! The main menu is a good range of pub grub but the specials board is very special, that’s where the true gems are found.
