sorry to see you go, wonderful staff, always helpful and kind. one staff member once offered to drop some plants home to me when delivery wasn't available due to a fluke circumstance. wonderful of her to have offered. service and knowledge like this was always worth the trip. my best wishes to the staff for the future
One of only a handful of Homebase stores left in Wales (and this one will be closing in the coming months too). The shop usually has a good variety of Christmas lights and decorations in the winter. The garden centre part usually stocks a variety of different plants and gardening items (although the quality can sometimes vary). The shop is home to an Amazon locker (to the right next to the tills as you enter the shop).
Don’t buy a bathroom from here. The designer can’t measure properly, therefore all the layout and units had to be changed. Then after just 3 weeks the unit door was peeling and the side of it also peeling. Numerous emails to Homebase who just claim it’s the fitters problem not theirs and continue to fob you off. The designer should be sacked. A total joke of a place. Once they have your money, they couldn’t give a toss. I wouldn’t even buy a bag of screws from this place again. 1000% USELESS
Plants 1/2 dead, no staff on shop floor, would not cut timber for me even though its advertised on the store website. Would not recommend this store. Prices a lot higher than others
Dreadful place, I would even go as far as to say depressing, took a trip here from Cardiff to find half the plants wilting, some dead, how on earth do HB expect people to still want to buy plants like this, while continuing to charge premium rate price's for something that is destined for the compost heap, the tree selection was very poor, again wilting, very basic bedding plants, nothing of any great excitement, only found one plant that looked healthy, we went on to another large chain where our money was gladly spent and savings made, will never visit again. The staff also looked miserable, no doubt treated the same as the plants.

I came here for some paints mixing and have some very positive feedback! Customer Service had sent someone over before I asked, which is always good. The gentleman who helped me could not have been more helpful, he helped me pick the correct type of paint, was genuinely interested in what I was using it for, and didn't rush me at all during the process. Definitely a gold standard compared to other Homebase branches I have visited.
Great little DIY store. Set up very well for COVID measures. Click and collect nice and quick at the front of the store.
