   The Old Horse in Leicester is a really pleasant pub to visit, mainly because it gets the basics of a good night out right: a welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and a comfortable setting where you can actually relax. The atmosphere is the standout. It has that proper pub feel—lively without being chaotic, and it works whether you’re popping in for a drink, meeting friends, or sitting down for something to eat. It feels like a place that gets a good mix of customers and has a nice buzz about it, without losing that warm, local vibe. Service is also a strong point. Staff are approachable, polite, and quick to help. Even when it’s busy, they seem to keep things moving and make you feel looked after, which makes a big difference.    Incredible service & amazing food! Had a Christmas dinner with 8 other friends and the food was lovely but the service was beyond expectations. I booked the table a while ago and putting down a deposit and booking was super easy and Stuart was great to speak too! On the evening the service was outstanding, the food came out on time, the staff were checking if we were happy with every dish. They even decorated the table and gave us each a Santa hat. Really great experience and we'll be booking again for next year.

   Went in today with a couple of friends. We all fancied some food and placed our orders. I went for the burger. I can honestly say, I don't think I have had one this good. Burger was thick, chunky and meaty. Cooked to perfection. A nice slice of Red Leicester and chunky chips to die for. Add to this, a nice beer, great service and friendly staff. Also a very comfortable pub.

   Large pub with lots of tables and seating. They have a wide range of drinks and a huge food menu. Portions are large, and the food was very tasty. Service was friendly and quick. Prices are very reasonable. This pub is very welcoming and we would go again.

   Needed a bit of food before heading to the theatre and found The Old Horse by chance after a Google search. Phoned and booked a table without any issues and when we arrived were greeted by friendly bar staff. Great Halloween decorations as well! The food was lovely - we had Broccoli and Cream Cheese bake and Steak and Ale pie. Clean plates all round! Looking forward to our next theatre trip to Leicester to come back again!

   This pub is lovely. Fantastic garden. Great choice of real ciders and beers. Lovely atmosphere, and lots of different areas to sit in. The bar staff and landlady were really welcoming. We haven't eaten there yet, but the food looked amazing, and was so pleased to see a choice of filled cobs too! We have made this our new local!
