   Decent selection of beers which are changed regularly. No TV or music blaring, just a nice pub to enjoy a good drink with friends. The ale selection is almost entirely pale ales, with an occasional stout or porter. I’d love to see a darker malt beer, but so far I’ve been disappointed.

   A bijou tap room in the trendy bustling Queens Road. Excellent selection of real craft and small brewery ales, beers and ciders (2 options when we visited) along with a canned and bottled selection, which is also available for take away. Helpful knowledgeable staff on hand and tasters available if the selection creates indecisiveness. Its moderately small and popular so don't go expecting to always get a seat, but the informal bench style tables means you may well meet new friends as they scooch up to make space for you A option to have tap take away too would make this bar perfect.
