Ordered food, a vegetarian option was substituted with a meat one and only called after this decision was made to inform me.

The staff there are very rude, especially the lady that was quite big and had brown hair that was in a claw clip. She had a constant attitude the whole time i was ordering with her, as well at the thin ginger lady. My order was simple yet it seemed as if they didnβt want to do their job at all, huffing and puffing whist looking and giggling at eachother when they were serving me it made me feel extremely small. I donβt have a single good thing to say about my experience here-the first and definitely the last. AVOID AT ALL COSTAS

I donβt usually write reviews, but my experience at Costa Coffee (22 Cannon Park Centre) was absolutely appalling. I ordered a large soy latte to drink in but requested it in a takeaway cup, as I prefer it that way. After sitting for just over an hour and just as I was about to leave, the female manager (thin, white) approached me abruptly and rudely. She told me I could not sit in for so long with a takeaway cup and asked me to leave, claiming that other customers were waiting for seats. However, the only group waiting consisted of four people looking for a table of four, while I was seated at a table for two. The managerβs attitude was unprofessional, insulting, and unreasonably aggressive. Her behaviour made me feel discriminated against, which was deeply unsettling. Shocked by this treatment, I approached her for clarification and asked if there was a price difference between drinking in and takeaway. She confirmed there was none. When I questioned why I was being asked to leave, she harshly denied it and falsely accused me of occupying a seat that had caused other customers to leave. This was completely untrueβthe group of four had already been seated at their table, and there was no one else waiting. The entire experience was extremely unpleasant. The staff were abrupt and unfriendly, and the managerβs behaviour was absolutely disgraceful.

One of the staff is racist. very condescending and patronising. When I ask for a straw for my iced latte , she said β I cannot give you oneβ. I was shocked. I said β even if the customer really want one ? β she said β I cannot give you a straw even if you want one. They count the straw. β I am speechless. She speaks so rudely. I said but I do like to have one straw for an iced latte. Eventually, the manager came and said I can have one. And when the staff gave me one, she then said β this is the last one. If you come again, I am not going to give you one β. I donβt have a problem with straw. But this staff speaks to me like I am the worst child in kindergarten. Such a patronizing attitude is not necessary. If she behaves not as condescending, I wonβt insist on having a straw, because I would know she is not racist.

Great to stop and have a coffee before/after shopping. There are also customer toilets for once you've drunk a large coffee. The cups are big and designed to be held by both hands. But really heavy.

We ordered coffee, a smoothie and a croissant. The staff gave me the wrong smoothie then argued that it was what I'd asked for. They put it right but spilled it all over the tray and didn't give me any butter for the croissant. I usually visit in the week so this might have been an issue with weekend staff.

Waited in a small queue whilst the two staff frantically prepared drinks and.........put them in bags for arriving deliveroo or uber or whatever drivers. No one in the store being served. Gave up and left from a by then large queue. No problem in Greggs. Got coffee and a bun.

Some people enjoy drinking coffee with many wonderful aromas made by artisans with the finest roasted beans. What I drank was very hot 150F bitter coffee. Costa was better run when Whitbread used to own it.

It's a Costa not a military camp. Treat your customers with some respect and don't tell them off for taking a tray away like a child. Going up to a customer and demanding 'drinks?!' Is not how you chat to me. Also next to no food and the fridge doesn't work so my water was right luke warm.
