CAMRA ‘Pub of the year’ lives up to expectations! Fantastic pub all round and made to feel extremely welcome by Dave(landlord) and Liv! The best craft beer and cask selection in Leicestershire by far! Perfect pour every time, quality beer! can’t wait to return! Many thanks

The bar staff are lovely but the manager Dave has a very rude attitude. On many occasions he doesn’t want his customers to sample the beer, he has ignored me and served the person behind me.Tonight He wanted Us to move away from the bar area which we didn’t mind but it’s his attitude which is so rude. He also never will admit jf he is wrong. My husband, sister and I just left our drinks and walked out.

My favourite pub in Leicestershire, Syston to be exact. Dave, the landlord, really is the nicest person, and he runs the most interesting of pubs with the best staff. I think you would see something different every trip even if you went in every day, The Pharmacie is open. To top it off, fantastic beer, great selection of alcohol free drinks, vegan drinks and gluten free too... It really was the best place for my husbands 50th. The upstairs area meant that anyone not wanting to listen to the band could also sit in peace

If you love Beer this is the place to go in Syston. 6 Active Handpulls have Shipstones Bitter, Mild, an Oakham rotating and Three Guest Casks, normally one Pale, one Dark plus another. Plus a selection of Craft Kegs, Cans and Bottles, real Ciders, Craft Lager and a Great alternative to Guiness brewed by Brennans, a small family brewery in Co Wexford. A wide variety of Spirits and Wines are available too. The place is littered with quirky medical displays, a couple of Skeletons, vintage posters, all in a chilled atmosphere with an eclectic mixture of background music. Upstairs is a function room which is used for parties, pop-up restaurants and a meeting place for local groups.

Great place - friendly landlord and staff, quirky pub and good choice of beer and cider. Real community pub on the main street. Has signed up to be one of the warm places this winter too. Check opening times to avoid disappointment if travelling a distance to get to it

Outstanding craft beer bar. I travel to the UK one to three times per year. Brought here by family a few weeks after they'd just opened. Dave and his staff are great. Look forward to visiting every time I'm over there.
