We attended this lovely village pub yesterday afternoon and what a wonderful experience we had. The landlady and landlord are very friendly welcoming and accommodating. The pub itself is lovely and has a true village feel about it. The beer garden is lovely spacious and well maintained especially given this was the first true sunny day of the year. Outdoor seating was plentiful and the grounds were lovely. We had a wonderful afternoon sat outdoors enjoying the sun and a beer and a lovely evening later indoors. I highly recommend this village pub to all and we will all be spending many of a Saturday and Sunday afternoon here. Thank-you team for a lovely day/evening and Thank-you for your lovely hospitality. We all look forward to join you again very soon.

Park here and walked around the reservoir before calling in for a drink. Five Everards beer on offer, plus others. Would like to call back for Sunday lunch.

A good pint of Old Original with a cheeseburger and chips after a walk around Thornton Reservoir. Not too busy at lunchtime, easy to find a table, it was starting to get busier when we left around 1pm.

First time since covid hit I’ve been out to a traditional pub for a meal. Wow it was worth waiting for , piping hot food was served in a good timely manor, presented well on the plate, and my gosh did it taste good. 2 of us had different meals and shared , both were top quality , the new crΓ¨me brΓ»lΓ©e they offer was to die for, the whole night , just perfect in every way . Shall be returning for the next family get together Have happy new year 2023 to all the staff

No idea what's going on here but looking at other pictures of the Bricklayers Lunch (with cheese) it looks like it should have come with stilton and coleslaw yet both were missing. For Β£10.95 I would have expected these. I had the cheese and ham version and it wasn't on there either. What really annoyed me is that it was 1.56pm and we were told we had to order food straight away as the kitchen was closing at 2.00pm. At 2.12pm I heard someone else order food and then at 2.18pm someone else ordered. Not sure if they were locals but I didn't appreciate being rushed to order for no reason. The food quality and service was decent.

Reasonably priced for what you got. The plate was small, but for lunch it was fine. The chicken burger was disappointing, it looked lost in the bun and just tasted cheap, sorry. The sandwiches coming out looked much tastier, next time I'm ordering one. The chips were cooked to perfection. We shared a home made banoffe pie which was lovely, very tasty and not to sweet. Overall, i think i'd rather pay a little more and get better quality. Peas/fresh salad. Cheers. Staff nice and friendly

This is a great pub for lunch or for evening meals staff and owner are lovely people food is amazing car parking is good but expect no spaces on busy days prices are reasonable. But for bigger meals obviously you will pay a bit extra. Toilets are clean bar is clean hand sanitiser is provided. All in all Highly recommend the place

Sunday lunch one of the best we've ever had. Delicious. Very good value. Loved the 5 fresh veg as well as the meat and carbs.
