   I’ll start by saying I never like to put down local independent businesses, so I hope this feedback is taken as constructive and helpful. When I first arrived, I couldn’t help but notice a very strong smell of fried food (a bit like takeaway / chippy vibes), which was a bit off-putting, especially when dining in. I ordered the 101 breakfast, which was generally nice, but a few things let it down. The menu mentions toasted sourdough bread, but mine came with very basic bread that was barely toasted. The fried eggs were overcooked, and I later noticed that the menu says ‘choice of eggs’, but I wasn’t asked, which isn’t the biggest issue, but worth mentioning. Unfortunately, the mushrooms seemed quite old and shrivelled. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the sausage, rashers, tomatoes, and potato tots. The pickled red onion was an unexpected addition, but surprisingly I liked it. I normally would have shared this feedback with a staff member on the day, but I was in a rush and didn’t see anyone on my way out. To be fair, they do have many great reviews, so this may have just been a one-off, or perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. I’d probably return and maybe try something else, as several of their other dishes look great and people have said good things about them.

   Owners are lovely. Great service and a nice place to stop for coffee, cakes or breakfast/ lunch. Very good food. Full of flavours, delicious and nutritious. Real hidden gem in Coventry. Please don’t judge my pictures as I’m not a photographer.

   Not the best or even close to best. Food is dry and overcooked, batches are stale and stick to the roof of mouth. Batch bar across the road so much better!!
