The Chestnut is a well stocked pub on the popular Craven Street with a car park on Hearsall Lane. Pool and darts bar on one side, larger bar on the other, and a garden. Landlord knowledgeable and friendly. Can get busy for some sports events on TV and or term time but the waiting times are good.
Finest Sunday roast I’ve eaten in a long time - feels like it was made in a home kitchen and great range of veggie options that change every week Team are always lovely and price is very reasonable! Glad you guys are doing roasts again!
Love this pub - super friendly staff great selection of classic beers and an insane amount of different gin and whiskey, plus the added fun of pool and darts :) and their Sunday roast is to die for ❤️
Nice public house to visit. Amazing selection of beers, wines and spirits, and very pleasant staff too. If you like White Zinfandel wine, the one they have at The Chestnut Tree, called Jack Rabbit, is superb.

Lovely place and an excellent Sunday roast
Our go to pub in the area. Huge selection of gins and decent whisky too. The beer is good and there's plenty of places to get a quiet spot for the night.
Excellent traditional pub will very friendly staff. Good selection of beers. Features a snug, pool room, darts, and tv room and lounge area...large outdoor area at the rear. Highly recommended.
Fantastic sunday lunch, we loved it. Well worth the money.
