Cute human-friendly cafe. Serving all day brunch, sweets, and variety of drinks. Ordered ‘Smoky Beans with poached egg on toast’. The service was really fast and the food was hot and freshly made. First time trying butter beans on toast but it goes so well with cannellini and the slightly spicy tomato sauce. The only downside I can think of is the sauce is a bit too salty, and the poached egg was tiiiiiny. Would be much better to pair with a slightly bigger rye bread or just add less salt in the sauce. Otherwise, very nice experience! Not to mention the place also has clean bathroom and WiFi. Would recommend both coming alone or with friends.

On holiday from London, had to take my dog here! She loved it, she had a puppacino, donut and biscuit. I had iced tea and avocado toast which was delicious. Staff were super friendly and service was quick. I will definitely visit again when in the area

With a name like that I should have realised it was very dog friendly! As it goes there were no dogs there. It’s a new place with friendly enthusiastic staff. The cafe is very nice. The coffee is VERY CHEAP, the cheapest in Cardiff as far as I can tell. On the downside they don’t take cash which normally warrants a 1 or 2 star, however given that with excellent coffee at an absurdly low price I have to make an exception.

It is good to see the same community of people who helped running Kemis and Lazy Leek are part of Fido too. The food was amazing, as expected, the staff are welcoming and friendly. Great to see this place operating.

Service staff were friendly enough but it was clearly under resourced Saturday morning serving a full house. Dirty tables everywhere, weren't wiped down after customers leaving is not good. We ordered their £8 Fido breakfast at the counter. Upon arrival, we found the quality fell extremely short of our expectation. It was disappointing to find the toast and floppy tomato burnt, the single poached egg overcooked together with lukewarm beans and bacon. In addition, cups and plates had an unpleasant smell. This is one of the poorest breakfast experiences we've had in the city. On the plus side, the cakes selection displayed looked good so may be worth trying and to avoid their cooked breakfast in future.

The service at Fido is always excellent and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They were obviously very short staffed today and so busy, but still absolutely smashing it with their friendly, attentive service (despite a few rude, entitled customers). Shout out to the always great vegan cakes. Want to eat that sticky date loaf every day for the rest of the year.
