Went on a quiet rainy Sunday to avoid an abrupt shower. Had a pint to while away an hour. Friendly staff.

I have been going to the borough for over 10 years so my visits are in the hundreds. The bar staff the old bouncers, the old kev the dj and 99% of customers have given a great atmosphere for many years. Last night I queued from approx 21:10 - 21:30 to get in. On reaching the front of the queue the bouncers asked if the male behind me could come in before me. I looked behind thinking they might have been disabled or a reason they need to go in to see quite a fit and healthy male. I said no I've been waiting here longer than him. After saying this the bouncers let him in any way. This male with his son and his sons friends behind him, was sticking his fingers up with verbal definition in full view of the bouncers watching and they took no action. I reported this behind the bar so hopefully it will get looked in to. It's all on camera approx 21:30 give or take 10 minutes. If these are the people we rely on to keep us safe in your pub then unfortunately it's no longer a safe place to visit.

I brought some of my friends from Basingstoke here and they loved it. A great feel to the place with its long traditional old fashioned bar. The atmosphere was brilliant with some great 50-80s tunes being played by the DJ..Ideally for people aged 40+.

Had a great night at this classic pub right in the middle of Cardiff. Great atmosphere, DJ playing good music, lots of reggae. Plenty of attentive bar staff providing top service even while the place was very busy. Will be returning
