   I recently held a wedding party at The Underdog thanks to the help of Jack, the general manager there. Jack was absolutely amazing- made sure the night was perfect and put in so much effort to get us a fantastic party and went well above and beyond. Great venue, DJ and food from Fire and Flank. Staff are all really helpful and friendly. Everything was seamless, our guests all loved it and we will be endlessly grateful for Jack’s efforts. Would do it again in a heartbeat and recommend the place to anyone. Legend!!!

   The Underdog is such a hidden gem. It’s usually not very busy, but if more people knew about it, the place would be packed! 2 for 1 cocktails before 7pm, great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, 2 pool tables that take coins, great atmosphere and really friendly staff.

   if you want a nice quiet bar where the music isn't too loud to hear your friends talking, offers nice (2 for 1 before 7pm!!) cocktails and is more or less always empty enough to accommodate large groups, the underdog is for you! if you don't have cash for the pool tables the staff are happy to take your card and take the money out in coins. a perfect spot to catch up with friends before going somewhere a bit more rowdy lol. we go all the time for the animation nights events but have started going to underdog for weekend drinks too now and it's our favourite spot in cardiff.

   Turned up just before 7pm on a Friday night to an empty bar (just 6 other people in there). Unfortunately for us, we had to queue at the bar as 2 of those 6 people were ordering drinks. No bother, but when we asked for the 2for1 cocktails (served 4-7pm) we were refused as they stop at 7pm. Completely understand a 4-7pm cut off for Happy Hour, but when your bar is practically empty on a Friday night when the rest of Cardiff is heaving, surely 4 drinks on the 2for1 offer isn't too much to ask 4 mins after the cut off (when we'd been queuing for 5 mins at the bar). Would have been a 1 Star review but visited earlier in the year and had some nice cocktails so bumped it up to 2 stars.

   Very underrated bar in Cardiff. Great selection of cocktails and will be sad to see the pizzas go (Mar 2023 I believe) Would recommend for a chill night as at time of writing it doesn't get super busy

   Very cool and snazzy bar in Cardiff! What's more to love, reasonably priced cocktails as well as a selection of other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, brilliant music. Overall my new hangout in Cardiff and I highly recommend giving it a go!!
