We popped in here for a drink on the way back to our hotel after a gig in town & we were met by a very friendly atmosphere & excellent service from the staff & you can’t ask for anymore than that. Thank you to all for a jolly good end to the night. Mick & Lisa
Karaoke night on a Friday is a must. People, nice, great atmosphere. Service and staff excellent. Not many good older pubs like this around any longer. Danny and staff doing a really good job.
Absolutely awful experience just running past - as a solo female runner the intimidation of roughly 10 men outside is disgusting. And I know I’m not the only woman today to experience this as one made comment about the previous woman who ran past. How can you them to drink and smoke outside when they behave like this.

This place has come back to life..great fun on a Friday with karaoke.. landlords and staff amazing.. friendly people of all types..and the most spotless toilets ever, which is very rare these days...well deserved 5 stars from me
The Cottage has been through a few transformations and managements in the past several years, but the current owners have done well with it. Hosting regular events and karaoke, there's always something to do, and if you're more chilled they also have two pool tables. Drinks are reasonably priced and children are welcome up to adult's time. Nice little community pub if you want to pop in for a pint.
This is a good night life on a Friday onwards and got good food and good ale in a bottle it's a must on a Friday night
