One of the best pubs in Cardiff, always a friendly and cosy atmosphere. Booked for Christmas food and it didn't disappoint, very tasty and an absolute bargain.
Popped in for a quick pint ( SA high recommended) stayed to watch some sport.( choice of TVs ) Ordered Fish n Chips. Without doubt the best I’ve had in a long time. Pubs got a great atmosphere and friendly staff - what more do you want from a city centre pub. I can see why it’s such an iconic pub in the heart of the city
A wonderful, long standing establishment in Cardiff. Exceptionally well located within the town, plenty of space, clean and tidy with a great selection of food and drinks. I've had a warm welcome on every visit. Such a great atmosphere on match days and race meetings.

Being Portuguese and Walking into The Old Arcade in Cardiff, you’re hit with a buzzing sports atmosphere—rugby memorabilia, international flags, and TVs showing football, rugby, and darts. It’s a proper pub with real character. The cheeseburger? Crispy but still full of flavour and just a bit overr cooked, with melted cheese oozing over the patty. Pair it with crispy fries and a cold pint, and you’re sorted. To finish of I went with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, just the right amount. Perfect to end the meal. Whether you’re here for the game or just a great meal, The Old Arcade delivers. A must-visit for sports fans and food lovers passing by.
Travelled 45 minutes as I heard there were panini stickers to swap. Nice homely pub, in a great location in Cardiff City centre. Staff were friendly and helpful, and had a couple of pints while watching the football and collecting some stickers. Will be back!

Absolutely incredible spot to watch a rugby match. There was an amazing crowd after a Welsh rugby match, and the bar was vibrant and alive. Definitely the best rugby pub I have ever experienced.
Stopped in for a quick snack and a beer. This is the first Carling's I've had in many a year! The Mrs and I split a "dirty fries". These were ok. The service here was very friendly. We were told that you "don't drink shanties in the oldest pub in Wales!" This is a real, local pub. We were introduced to locals that have come here every day for years. Very impressive. We had a blast!
