Happy hour 3pm - 6pm. Need I say more? I generally like the food, decent carvery on a Sunday. 4 distinct space/‘s, lounge, bar, and restaurant inside and lots of outside bench seating.
Called in this afternoon for a meal, first impressions were good, clean, tidy and very spacious - it's bigger than it looks, plenty of tables and seating.. After browsing the menu we opted for the following meals: Sirloin steak - cooked to perfection and was probably the best steak I've had in a long time and what I felt was much tastier than that famous steak restaurant chain so hat off to the chef! The chips, mushrooms and peas also very tasty. Discovery burger - tasty burger, bun, chips etc Chicken burger - again this was delicious. All meals were piping hot, staff were friendly and meals were fairly priced. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
Really impressed, the place seems to have been refurbished, looking really good, it’s much more open now, with good comfortable seats, very accommodating The staff, are absolutely amazing, friendly, and welcoming, just a lovely atmosphere, you can tell they care about their customers. Went there for lunch and drinks, and the food, was excellent, very much enjoyed it. Looking forward to a revisit.
Nice pub for food. Added bonus of having on the six nations matches on a big screen. Friendly staff. 5 ⭐'s
Mark was our waiter today. He was attentive. Informed us how long our food would take and was prompt with drinks and service. Lovely meal and a very fair price. I will return soon
The food was OK, supposed to be a Christmas menu (advertised on their website, but no sign of that on the day). I had the turkey, not sure how they got Brussels sprouts cooked but still as hard as bullets. Sticky Toffee pudding not available, so disappointing as that was what I was really looking forward to. Cheese board was better than many I have had.
Had my daughter baby shower in the function room on 5th March and had to write my review, first I would like to thank the very friendly staff that could not do enough for us. The function room was set out just as we wanted. The food was just outstanding and very plentiful, so on that note a big thank you to your chef or chefs. I would highly recommended this venue 5*
Saturday lunch with friends, so a different experience to the usual couple/family meal. Disappointed! A grubby feel to the place. Food was OK but my minute steak was more fat that steak. Bumped the score up from 2 to 3 as the desserts were good. I wouldn't return as the place was grubby and lacked any sort of atmosphere...
