   Came here on Wednesday for food and was not disappointed, The chef Kurt really made my day I had the katsu chicken curry it was superb the new menu has lots of variety and fantastic dishes, staff were so friendly and elfficient.    Popped in for some lunch with the wife as we were in the area and the food was amazing. The new chef kurt cooked our food to perfection. He will be a massive asset to the black lion team the guy knows how to cook good food. Will defo be returning again very soon.

   Lovely pub in the heart of Llandaff, only a stones throw from the city centre. Amazing Staff, who seemed happy to be there and were extremely attentive. Live music on the weekend is an added bonus, great vibes and reasonably priced drinks help.

   I had a fantastic experience at the Black Lion Pub – easily one of the best local pubs in Llandaff. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a great mix of locals and visitors that gives the place real character. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The selection of drinks was excellent, including a great range of ales and local brews. I was also really impressed with the food – proper hearty pub grub, cooked well and full of flavour.

   Previous experiences are excellent. Unfortunately called in today for a Sunday Lunch. Roast looked lovely but stone cold. Asked for extra gravy, hoping to warm it up... also cold. Nothing worse than a cold roast unfortunately. We told the member of staff (who was lovely). And were offered it to be warmed up and a finger stuck in the gravy to test temperature. Refused & asked for a refund as warmed up roasties & yorkshire pud etc are not good. Shame.

   A Brains pub in a traditional setting with a mock Tudor exterior, located on the outskirts of Cardiff. Cheap ales on tap with food served until early evening.

   Was an excellent pub famous for its shove halfpenny and bar skittles. Had to search for a clean table for 4 even though not busy. Found one and sat down then asked to move to a other table to keep that side of the room clean! So sent back to have our drinks from a choice covered in slopes.. I used to drink here with dad..nursing staff from Rookwood Hospital used to collect wheel chair patients and push them back up the hill on closing....wont be back

   Lovely looking place on the outside, but lack-luster food and impersonal service on the inside. My husband and I both ordered the Roast Beef. I sent mine back when I found a ball of stuffing under the turkey thinking they’d made a mistake - turns out it actually was thinly sliced roast beef all along which had acquired some stuffing and two pigs in blanket along the way. Guess I should be grateful for the freebies - Someone pass the salt and pepper please.
