A really good family run business. I was shocked when I wanted to book my car in for its MoT yesterday see the Workshop empty,and the doors open. It's a real shame if Solihull Council allow a thrivwing MoT and car repair business to be closed down to build a Supermarket

I dropped my car for a repair at Edwins Autos a few weeks ago. It had lost power and when ran through diagnostics it appeared it would likely be an expensive repair. However, I received a phone call the next day to explain that they had found a different cause to the problem, that had been a cheaper part to replace, and therefore my final bill had been reduced significantly. I am a 28 year old female and very aware of how easy it would be to take advantage of my lack of knowledge of cars and repair work. I feel reassured that I can trust this garage. My car is running very well now and I will be using Edwins Autos again.
Straight forward no nonsense service. Great for Mot & service and trust them to give good, reliable honest advise. Been taking my car there for a long time and aim to continue.
I booked my car in to be done on the Friday two weeks in advance. I had booked the Friday and Monday off in preparation for this. I drop my car off on Friday to be told that I "wasn't booked in". On the Monday I rang to find out they had not started the car. This meant I had to book another day off work, so I lost another day's work for this, even though it was booked 2 weeks in advance. On the Tuesday afternoon, after I still had no contact, I rang them to find out it "might" be done by the end of the day, but they'll ring me back to confirm. I got no call. When I rang them back, I was told they were closed. Today is Wednesday - I HAD TO TAKE ANOTHER DAY OFF - and I only found out it was finished because I rang them, they didn't even bother ringing me. There were a few extra miles on the clock - so I asked why there were and they tell me they test drive the cars afterwards. I said ok, left, and get a phone call from Edwin asking me why I complained about the mileage (I just asked why there were extra miles) and shouting "how long have you been driving" repeatedly, saying that I don't know what I'm talking about etc. I was messed around, lost a lot of money, and was then harassed over the phone after requesting more information on the extra miles on the clock. The place is a shambles, avoid at all costs
Very friendly staff, Edwin is always very organised and we bring a number of vehicles to him every year for servicing and mot's. Everything is very well priced, apart from the budget tyres, which seem to cost as much as a mid range tyre from a comparable garage.
By far the best garage, they really do go above and beyond. The staff are very welcoming, and nothing is any trouble. They sort my car out perfectly every time, and any work that needs to be done is sorted without hassle. A personal touch for the waiting area, they have refreshments, sweets, papers etc, and you dont feel like you are sat in a business or company, as the owner, Edwin, actually spends time speaking to his customers, making each one feel welcome and valued. A family friendly feel, real people, and upfront honest talk. Edwin's Autos may be a small garage, but it certainly gives the bigger companies a run for their money, and in some cases, shows them how customer service should be done. I personally will never go anywhere else. Highly recommended, 10/10.
Really good service occurs when you are under pressure, under the kosh and today at Edwin's motors, Jason and Edwin demonstrated how they offer exemplary service. Modern Cars are fabulous but one frequently finds it's the end user (me) who is the failing fault with them. Even so - Edwin went out of his way to get me sorted, help me get back on the road.
