Chris had my car for nearly 3 weeks, told me it was the rear fuse box, this was to cost Β£600+, after trying to contact him on numerous occasions, in which he never answered his phone, or returned calls he promised. Totally fed up with the excuses I went to cfs to get my car. Disgusted with the state of my car, absolutely covered in bird droppings and leaves. Took it to another garage, in 2 days it was repaired, it wasn't the fuse box and cost Β£180. Certainly won't use again

It really pains me to write this review! Chris was always great at fixing the cars but something has gone seriously wrong there. He had my friends car for 2 years (he gave him a loan car) and my friend had to go up dailey to demand his car back, again and again and again for a whole month. When my cars EGR valve failed I felt that Chris would be the only one to help me and lightening doesn't strike twice. He had my car for almost 2 years, and he gave me two loan cars during that time. In his defence, he couldn't get a genuine EGR valve due to lack of production... After 9 months I eventually sourced the part myself and took a shiney new part to Chris. Over 10 months later we had to constantly pester for the car back. It eventually came back 3 weeks later and 21 months in total after I took it in. It still had an old EGR valve on the car and the new one that I provided was in the boot of the car and covered in oil, suggesting it had been fitted and removed. The interior was an utter disgrace and cost us Β£150 and 3 hours of valleting to recover its cream leather. Kudos to the Pilot Valet service on Burnaby road. To make matters more mysterious, it had a new (generic) alternator fitted whe it had the origional part on when I took it in, but, the car doesn't like it and the battery light is constantly coming on (it never goes flat, but it's on most of the time). I had the car serviced by another Jaguar specialist and the investigation showed a new alternator, an old EGR valve with pipe disconnected to keep it open and running smooth, extensive corrosion underneath, oil leaks around various areas of the engine, electrical issues, engine warning lights caused by various issues and corrosion damage. Evidence that rodents have been nestiing under the bonnet and eating the insulation material is very clear. New brakes, discs, pads and calipers that I had redone weeks before it went in are now corroded and pitted. 3 months later the car is now starting to smoke from under the bonnet and smell of burning. A beautiful car purchased for Β£5000 in 2022 is now reduced to nothing and I've only actually had it for 1 year and 3 month since buying it. Tomorrow morning I am taking it to trade it off for a newer car, probably a naff Nissan or something like that... A real let down as the value is eroded and corroded. Since getting the car back I have coincidentally heard of 4 more people who's cars were at CFS for up to a year or more. They all thought that they were the only ones. Even staff members at CFS joke that you won't see your car again, that some cars have been there for many years. As much as I am grateful for the loan cars, I was stopped twice by the police for the smoke coming out of the back of one of them, and the other one kept over heating... The solution was to GET MY CAR BACK, but the reality was being told to keep the coolant cap loose to reduce pressure build up. When the MOT was done we didn't pay, Chris called it a gesture of goodwill and indeed it was until I found out that my car had rotted into disgrace Our relationship with CFS is over and I am now having to spend my hard earned savings and go into debt to replace a beautiful car that I liked. Yesterday I heard of someone whose car was at CFS for over 9 months, 2 months later it went on fire..... imagine how I feel today after the nauseous smell of smoke coming into the vehicle 8 hours later. Game over, this is my experience - I'm very jelous of all those giving 5 stars and praise. The worst bit - my car had premier warranty to cover everything when it went in - the warranty expired with non of the work done

Dreadful customer service after you've bought a car from there. Not interested in warranty work at all.

Excellent Service. Having bought a second hand Jaguar less than a week ago, I was concerned when the vehicle went into limp mode with the diagnosis 'gearbox fault' displayed on the dashboard. Having read horror stories surrounding diagnostic problems, I thought I'd take it straight to a Jaguar specialist. In my research, Chris Forbes' name kept coming up again & again. I wasn't disapponted. The problem was identified immediately and fixed within a day - and at a very reasonae price. I was even lent a car, while my car was being fixed. Thank you Chris. I would highly recommend. Why would you take a Jaguar anywhere else?

Chris and his crew are the best in their job. They don’t waste their and your time. Excellent knowledge about cars. They took minutes to figure out what is the problem with my Jag XF and fixed it. Always recommend them.

People with Jaguars looking to get them serviced & fixed properly at the right price go here, this is a long term relationship type of place. As they are busy it is best to deal with them face to face and be prepared to allow them the time to do the job properly. If you need it bodged quickly, this is not the place for you. They've all the diagnostic tools a Jag needs and they update to the latest software. In my experience they will not try to fleece you with unnecessary work and will actually come up with sensible solutions to keep you on the road.
