    Went with my 2 years old for a quick battery change. Staff clearly didn’t have a clue how to do it. Been there for 2 hours. They managed to do it at the end but took so long and 3 different people to try it for 5 times. If they don’t know how to replace battery in different models they could at least google the issue, would have it sorted much quicker. They didn’t keep me updated, didn’t say it’s their fault and expected me to be grateful they did it at the end. Next time I’ll to go mechanic or do it on my own as it’s completely waste of time. Never again!

    Took my vehicle in for MOT at 8:30am. Two hours later it’s only just been completed. Communication was very poor - the app wasn’t updated and nobody got in touch to say there was an issue with the diesel exhaust machine. Had I been informed I could have gone home and picked my vehicle up later rather than hanging round Rugby for two hours.

    I had a good experience at Halfords Rugby Autocentre. The team were professional, polite and explained everything clearly. Even though my car needed some repairs after the MOT, they helped me understand the issues and quickly arranged a follow-up appointment. Overall, great service and good value, especially with the Membership benefits.

    Really disappointing experience and terrible customer service. Booked in for tyres and tracking. Turned up on a Wednesday to be told the tracking couldn't be done, so I rearranged for Saturday. I turned up on Saturday to have the work completed. I was then told that they have viewed my order in the morning and haven't had the delivery for my tyres. I said it was weird because you was only going to fit them 3 days previously. It would have been helpful if on both occasions Halfords had called in advance so I could of avoid the unnecessary journeys. I had pre-paid for this service. The person on reception's attitude is very much "not my problem you'll need to go away and speak to Halfords". Not welcoming or friendly in anyway. I wouldn't recommend this garage if you are looking to have your tyres fitted. I have now contacted Halfords and have asked to go to a different centre. Hopefully they will provide a better service.

    Booked work with the guy on the reception two weeks in advance and turned up on the day and was then told curtly not today by the same tool...cancelled all work, and I won't use Halfords again. Don't bother contacting me with 'help' platitudes as it not sincere without actual compensation.

    This was the only place where i could get the best quality budget tyres, the Rugby garage was short staffed and overbooked, had a 1pm but had to come back 2hrs later and took 1.5hrs to change a couple tyres. Lovely freindly staff. But the main head office need to do something about short staff, maybe send cover from another garage … not like they cant afford it. Also provide extensive training to new staff, there were walk ins and all they had to say was were fully booked for two weeks. Either book it in two weeks or see you later… this newby wouldnt stop talking to walk ins.

    First (and last) time I use this centre. Ken the receptionist was rude and standoffish from the start, although he seemed to perk up when there was a problem... Mr Thaker the technician was equally unhelpful. Neither were helpful in offering any kind of solution, nor could they clearly communicate what the actual problem was. The next day I went to TW Tyres and guess what? Pretty simple solutions by people willing to help. It's not difficult. Avoid. And Halfords - give your staff some training in proper customer service. I'm a pretty easy going person and they managed to get my back up..

    I am not going to this garage anymore. Last year they cancelled my MOT appointment just a few hours before my slot, due issues with the car lift... They gave me a new appointment for 3 days later. I dropped off my car on time but did not get any update from Halfords regarding my MOT in the next couple of hours. They didn't pick up the phone neither.... Next day I went back to the garage. Luckily the MOT was completed, but they said that there was a problem with the land line that's why they were not able to call me... I guess the staff has no access to mobile phones... :D ... I was fool this year as well, because I booked my MOT with Halfords again, and what a surprise, the called me again 4 hours before my slot and cancelled my appointment due the sickness of the staff they offered me a new appointment for 16 days later... No thanks ...... Thanks for Halfords another garage in Rugby now have a new customer with two cars.
