I’ve been bringing my car here for some time ,and have always had a great experience. The team is knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely cares about their customers. They never try to upsell unnecessary repairs, which I really appreciate.
I’ve been using European for a about a year now for MOT and repairs. prices always good and work always complete for a high standard.
I went to this garage to have an issue checked, and they told me the small battery needed to be replaced. After agreeing to the replacement, the car could not start at all. The garage then said they did not have the tools to deal with the problem and asked me to arrange my own tow truck to the main dealer. After the dealer inspected the vehicle, it turned out that the issue was not the battery itself, but that the garage had incorrectly installed certain components/connections during the battery replacement, which affected the system’s operation. Because of this installation error, I had to pay additional towing and diagnostic fees. This experience was quite disappointing.
I have been using European Auto Services since they took over from Priest Street Motors and Josh and his son continue to offer an excellent service. If anyone asks for a garage with what I term as proper mechanics I always give their details and hope they take my advice. They are nice chaps and do a great job. When i've popped in because of something minor for them to say to me - no charge these days is excellent customer service. Don't take my advice - give them a try. It was my first visit to European Auto Service after my car (Peugeot 2008) failed MOT twice while my car was serviced three month before at Evan Halshaw. My friend recommend to take the car to European Auto Service after Stars Garage quoted exorbitant amount to repair after failed its MOT twice due to ''exhaust emits excessive smoke or vapour''. Stars Garage seems didn't ''even know'' exact how to repair! I found European Auto Service excellent service from start to finish and my car pass MOT! I was kept informed every step of the way including type of service required, cost and a confirmation when completed. No any unwanted surprises and a cost to repair was reasonable compare to Stars Garage. Can happily recommend to any one to try European Auto Service.
I can’t recommend this garage enough. I’ve used them twice. Avoid the large named garages for maintenance and repair, and you will gain outstanding customer service at European Auto Services.
Excellent. I needed advice on the engine and gearbox of our Renault Kadjar. The garage gave a very quick appointment. After a trial run and other tests they advised me on the state of the car. Since no work was actually required for the time being they made no charge at all. I pointed out that they must have spent a good time on the vehicle but they would not accept any payment even though I was not an existing customer. What a pleasant surprise in these times.
Excellent garage, very knowledgeable and great service. Always willing to help, recently saved me a very large repair bill for an engine oil leak that was originally fixed by Peugeot under warranty but reoccurred, dealer claimed it was not the same leak so they would not honour the gurantee. European encouraged me to pursue the matter further with the Peugeot dealer and even rang them to offer their expert opinion, net result is the dealer are now rectifying the issue without cost to me. Can’t thank European enough. Also, they may be Citroen and Peugeot specialists and do a great job maintaining my Wife’s Peugeot but they have also managed to keep my ancient Toyota going for many years so don’t be out off going there if you have other makes of car.
