Long-dated food is put at the front while short-dated items are pushed to the back, which is absolutely ridiculous. Staff appear lazy and unwilling to help when you ask for assistance. Shelves are rarely fully stocked, and at self-checkout you’re often left standing for ages waiting for staff to verify age for medication or alcohol, or to help when items won’t scan.

A huge part of my order is missing. There's no contact information for the driver. His phone number should always be visible! I realized literally three minutes after the driver left that so many items were missing. I wanted to call him, but Asda doesn't provide a phone number. I had to wait about three hours to request a refund, even though I'd simply prefer to receive my order! Asda - improve your driver-customer communication! When I order online, I expect to receive the full order, but now I not only have to wait for my return to be approved, but I also have to go back to the store to pick up the missing items. I'm sorry, but I'm irritated!

Two weeks ago I ordered my food shop as usual, I paid extra for express delivery as I was desperately needed a food shop to arrive before the morning and my car wasn't working. My shop never arrived. I since learned that there was a glitch in the website system when I placed my order. I was on to customer services all morning from 7am-11:30am. They weren't helpful at all, and kept hanging up on me. I was pretty upset, because they cancelled my order, and told me id get a refund in about 3-5 days. That didn't work for me because I spent the last of my food shop money on that order, plus I needed the food urgently, hence why I paid extra, the order also included my son's birthday cake and candles. I rang customer services over and over explaining that they've cancelled my order, haven't delivered, and kept my money so I can't even replace my shopping. I was so upset. I ended up ringing this Asda, explained my situation and the lady who answered the phone was so lovely and understanding of the situation. She forwarded the issue to the manager David who rang customer services on my behalf to try and sort it out and took it upon himself to make sure I had my shopping delivered that day. He went above and beyond and my food shop arrived before tea time. My boy was so happy too because his cake arrived, and David so kindly upgraded the small cake I'd ordered to a much bigger cake and sent my son a birthday card. I could barely hold back my tears when the shop arrived and we saw all that kindness too. My 4 kids had dinner on the table just in time and my son was made up that his birthday cake still came! David, was exceptional and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves. Thank you so much, I don't think I'll ever forget the kindness my family were shown. Thanks David, bless you.

This is by far the worst Asda store I've ever visited! When I visited there was a distinct lack of stock , and from having a good look at the empty shelves, even if fully stocked, the choice here appears to be rather limited in comparison to the Wakefield store and also other large stores in the area. I found a lot of the staff were rude and made you feel a bit unwelcome. The customers at the time were also exactly the same and I felt uneasy trying to simply shop! I won't be returning to this store. Thankfully, the Wakefield store is closer.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Asda. I checked online and saw that Red Bull 12-packs were on sale. I specifically made the trip to this store just for this deal. While the staff on the shop floor were incredibly friendly and helpful, confirming that the price was the same in-store as online, the issue arose at checkout. The cashier outright refused to honour the sale price, claiming it wasn’t on offer. This is incredibly misleading—advertising a sale price online but seemingly restricting it to delivery or click-and-collect options that include added fees. This feels like a deliberate tactic to mislead customers. I am frustrated to have wasted my time and fuel for an offer that was essentially unavailable. It’s unacceptable, and this store really needs to improve its clarity and consistency between online and in-store prices.

Staff are not happy to help!! Used to be. Miserable. Loads of things out of stock, prices gone up loads. Now shop at lidl and tesco. Went to machine said cash wouldn't take it, assistant Says 'oh yeah that sign shouldn't say cash' !! Still doesn't remove it! Def customer service skills need updating

I am absolutely disgusted with the security at Asda store this afternoon. I saw a lovely young couple with a trolley full and a baby stopped by a rude security man. Searching through their shopping and showing the rude man their receipt he didn't even have the good grace to say sorry, instead just mumbled something and shrugged his shoulders. AWFUL

Too many DIY tills. Not enough REAL tills open with REAL staff. So many places are thinking this is a good move. It's not. It's frustrating for customers if we have a trolley of stuff. Those serve yourself tills should be for 5 items or less. One man trying to manage them all and help people when they inevitably go wrong. Unexpected item in bagging area. Not in a rush to go back. Ever.

The scan & shop wiped everything off the system and told we had to start 'shopping' again it was quicker to go to a checkout so went to one because the female staff member from scan and shop had attitude she decided to call security once we had paid 2 security staff were stood waiting for us accusing us of stealing tells us the selection for a check was because we hadnt scanned some shopping then changed his mind followed with we can't use scan and shop again. We had done nothing wrong it was asda system that wiped our shopping and were told by mentioned female staff member start again. Due to the harassment from security it caused my sister to miss a medical appointment. It was embarrassing and disgusting how we were spoken to and treated by the female staff member and security. All this was loud and infront of customers. Already sent email of complaint as soon as it happened heard nothing back ! Date 6/9/22 3.05pm large ginger female on scan & shop bad attitude, 2 security 1 very tall large young Asian the other small older balding Asian. To be honest I don't feel very safe or welcome at the store if I was to attempt to use scan and shop (how I always shop in all stores) the security will have a power trip & try embarrassing me ! We would like to know what the manager plans on doing about it !

Can be difficult to find a parent and toddler parking but there are loads of other spaces to park. We had lunch at the cafe and the kids loved the treats. 5⭐ rating for the staff.
