In the trades, used Welford ironmongers for over 25 years. Bought a few inferior quality items but never been successful in exchanges or refund when addressed but last straw was when I bought a sweeping brush and the head snapped off the first time I used it...took it back fully expecting an exchange but he charged me for a new one and smirked when I asked if he was serious! Paid and never stepped foot in there again which is annoying as I work nearby frequently and it would be convenient but refuse to use on principle...a few ££s to honour his wares would have kept years and years of custom.
Super friendly and knowledgeable. Spent ages advising me on the right screws to buy and it only cost £3. Genuinely care about helping people.

Friendly, knowledgeable and they have some beautiful door handles at fantastic prices. Very well stocked, had everything I needed for internal rebated double doors. Would highly recommend.
Very bad service and customer care we paid for materials in full and was told they would be ready for collection in 3 weeks it only 4 months and no curtesy calls to let you know what's happening with the materials. Went to check for the materials today and was told that they had rang me 3 weeks ago to say the materials are in but I had no calls from them so can't rate them only if you have time to keeping going back and forth as they don't have time to call they customer's to let them know about they goods. I will never use them again even if they are the last resort. I rate them a BIG 0
Very helpful and friendly. Good range of stock at reasonable prices. Willing to give sound advice. My first port of call for tools and DIY needs rather than the local Homebase and B&Q stores.
