Not just a useful place to have in the community but also a family owned and ran business that are ran by experienced and very friendly people. I have bought all sorts over the years but as an example for you I went to buy PTFE tape for a leak in my house that needed sorting, at the time they were out of stock so the owner went to his own tool box and gave me his PTFE tape free of charge. ^ That is a type of service to the community you wont find at B&Q ...
Very friendly staff that are always very helpful. Have started going here as close by and the quality of the wood has been better than my recent purchases from b&q and build base (wood had damaged edges or warped). Keep up the great service
Great service, and the timber is much better quality than places like B&Q, and at a much better price.
Very helpful guy on ordering and prompt next day delivery however was very disappointed that some of the materials were broken on delivery and when I reported this I was accused of breaking them myself even though they were hidden broken at the bottom of the pallet. They must have been broken in transit but he refused to accept this and replace which is a shame as I have an extremely large garden renovation and a lot more materials to buy and was happy with the initial contact. Will be taking my business elsewhere for the rest of the materials.

I called making an Inquiry for a short length of handrail. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful he cut wood to length and only charges me for what I need unlike the rest of timber merchants who were trying to sell me 4m. I will use this company regularly from now on great product clean and cheap, and gentlemen on the phone is very helpful.
