   Not very well stocked with limited variety. However, the biggest issue is the staff. There're no staff served tills and if you have a problem with the self checkout, the staff will do anything - chat, arrange baskets, stock up, but won't come to you to help. I know that it's the only supermarket of the big chains in the city centre so they probably think they can get away with anything but it's honestly ridiculous. I won't even mention how dirty all the shopping baskets are or how all the trolleys are at the exit so you need to get out of the shop with the trolley and go round the corner to the entrance.

   Visited 19Dec2025. (APPROX 15:05 - 15:15.) Very unhelpful staff and were rude. I wanted one item and do not normally use self service tills. I asked for help because there were ZERO manned tills open. I asked the nearest staff member who ignored me. I made my presence known more positively and asked for help with a "please can you help.... " She walked away. I then stopped her walking away and asked again. She told me to go down there and "she" (another staff member) would help me. I could not see another staff member and the first walked away. At this point "security" stepped in and said he didn't like my attitude. So I asked him to find the duty manager. He came back 2 minutes later and told me there was no management on site. I find that totally unacceptable on the last Friday before Christmas that no management are on site. REALLY? I do not believe it. I left without my purchase. VERY VERY UNHAPPY. I REQUIRE FEED BACK PLEASE MR SAINSBURY.

   The staff on self checkout Re more content with chatting to each other and doing “other things” than servicing red lights, you constantly have to wave and make yourself known for them to see you require support. Terrible service

   This store has really changed ! Long Queues as there's hardly any tills with people just more safe check-out. Scan and go on your phone, which you can pay with Google at other sainsburys stores doesn't work here. Also, it takes about 10 minutes to even find the barcode to scan to start Scan & Go . The few staff members i have spoken to have been helpful.

   Possibly the worst-run supermarket I have been to. The layout of the store is abysmal with very poor accessibility, the queue to self-checkouts often extending the whole length of the store which gets in the way of customers. Selection of food is very limited, little to no re-stocking, and fruit and veg quickly disappear making it a highly unreliable place to go. Boxes and other items are left lying on the floor which is a result of the shop's desperate understaffing, the management here is awful. It doesn't help that the place operates on the most rigid one way system with only one possible exit and entrance, compounding the stupid layout and design. As one of the only supermarkets in Coventry city centre, it's easily the worst option. You might find what you want but it's going to be a pretty unpleasant experience

   Sainsbury's location is ideal in the city centre just across from my bus stop so I can pick up last bits. They no longer have manned tills which is frustrating because the self-serve means I can't pack my shopping away as I go because it needs to weigh it all. Time-consuming. Variety and quality of fresh produce isn't great. Good for picking up bits but not fresh stuff.

   Long wait to checkout. Staff at checkout are too slow. Be aware of the veg weight machine, they may weigh your product more than the actual weight. Security guys are too rude even if you are a good customer. I believe people will go to other shops given there is an option.
