   This shop is dangerously irresponsible, and someone needs to say it clearly: the way they treat both animals and customers is unacceptable. I’m accusing this place of the following — and every word is true: They knowingly mis-sexed my hamster. I asked for a male. They handed me a female. That is not a “mistake.” That is negligence. They were explicitly told to avoid pine and cedar bedding (harmful to hamster respiratory systems) — and still handed over bedding containing exactly that. That’s not confusion. That’s disregard for animal safety. They sold us a faulty cage that doesn’t close properly. When we tried to return it, they tried to gaslight us into believing it was “normal,” refused a refund, and acted like we were inconveniencing them for pointing out their defective product. And then there was the staff member who was literally drinking beer in the store and confidently giving out dangerous misinformation, insisting bar biting is “normal” and we should “let them do it.” Not only is that wrong — it’s harmful and proves this person has no training and no business handling animals. Their cages for sale and for display are tiny, unsafe, and absolutely not up to welfare standards. They are selling suffering, plain and simple. Most toys are dyed with unknown chemicals, and when asked about safety, the staff acted annoyed — because apparently doing the bare minimum is too much for them.Horrible experience will never buy anything from here ever again.

   Absolutely an awful experience. I’ve explained in detail what needs to be done but what they have done made me very upset. It looks so wrong that left me speechless at some point. After I showed what exactly is done wrong at this lady admitted that it does look horrible. Ears wasn’t done at all , ear wax smeared on the sides . Tail wasn’t cut as agreed, sides of the body uneven, paws cut uneven and nails not touched. Chest left way too long , beard has chunks cut off and fringe has gone completely, and that is after we agreed on Giant Shnauzer standard cut! Back legs have bits sticking out. My dog keeps shaking head . Complained to the manager Lois who listened to me and provided no solution , when i asked him to look at the issues he said he doesn’t understand anything about it so can’t help. Appointment was for 1pm , I left store after 4pm . As I was leaving, manager shouted across: ‘ yeah by the way you banned from this store . Really ??? Lois you need to wake up, I am not going to shop at your store and book grooming ever again without you banning me from the store . I’m banned because you have failed to provide services I have paid for £72 and complained. From my point of view I am entitled to an opinion and can complain. Shocking experience wouldn’t recommend this grooming salon . Unable to post more pictures . What a waste of time and money and I’ve to take my dog to the vet because she just keeps shaking her head and scratching her ears . Beyond being disappointed

   Very modern Pets at home, with a good selection of products. Only thing I dislike is the constant sales pitch for a Pets at home membership. My wife has had a membership for years and has never seen any benefit from having one. All we seem to get is junk mail in the post from them.

   Bought the cats dry food and wet food. The people are always friendly and helpful. Trouble is I tend to buy too much , but this time apart from their food only them another toy. Good shop lots to choose from and my card helps other charity's.
