Helpful and friendly staff but car park is a mess! No parent and child spaces and the other spaces are also teeny tiny. Lovely staff member in store was so lovely and helped me to my car with my order that i was there to collect, was annoyed that i have forgotten her name
First time visiting this store today, I went around midday and had to purchase an antiseptic cream for my dog. Thankfully the man at the counter was really helpful and even took the time to look at the picture of dog’s wound to give his recommendation. After picking up a few bits I went back to the counter to pay and there were two women at the till, one of them seemed quite young and the other was a bit older. I was appalled at their customer service, at first they didn’t even bother to acknowledge the fact that I was waiting to pay and were chatting amongst themselves. The lady that served me had her brown hair in a tight ponytail. She had no customer skills whatsoever and I thought her behaviour was quite rude in general. This is a shame because it ruined my experience but I have given it 3 stars for the really kind man who helped me at the start. The other staff really need adequate training on how they should speak to customers. After reading other reviews I can see that many others have also complained about the same member of staff and I seriously think the manager should not employ people who don’t know how to treat customers
This branch has the worst service attitude towards customer. Not sure the name of the staffs but one of the female staff at checkout (11th October 2025 at 17:00pm) was rude and has zero patience. It’s such shame to have someone like this working in Customer service, if she is unhappy with her job or to work on Saturdays, maybe tell her to find another job instead of giving customer a bad attitude. First ignoring my hello then while I am looking for my Pets club card, showing extreme impatience. Repeating that normally people have the card on app rather than having it on website and she has no idea how to find it on website version. Obviously, she needs more training to do this simple job as the club card can be found on website instead of giving the question back to the customer. I can see this is not the only negative feedback towards the same staff, the store manager should take it seriously as I am driving to this place to buy stuff for my pet not to be treated like this.
I recused a hamster from this store they never told us any information about this hamster just gave her to us in a box it bite through 4x boxes never gave us no medical conditions the hamster was not happy and not settling the guys just wanted to sell it I took her back and they stuck her back on shop floor to sell when she should be put in quarantine for 7 days and was not bothered one bit she kept biting everyone I went into YouTube and saw that pets at home are mistreating there animals out the back and are teamed up rspca and are full aware of this they was so unbothered when I took her back will not be going there and wouldn’t recommend this store at all PLEASE DONT Take YOUR PETS HEAR.. you will regret it they didn’t offer no reassurance or nothing they new what they was doing ..
They have a nice selection of aquarium tanks, artificial and real plants, natural-looking decorations, and some whimsical ones. Also, a good variety of fish. Lewis was very welcoming and was very helpful in choosing a tank.
Horrible horrible horrible experience. I rarely make reviews especially bad ones but I couldn’t help but share the experience I had here today and feel to warn those who continue to shop here. Unless you are buying accessories or small items which would need little assistance then I would avoid this specific branch. The customer service is horrendous. Very little staff around to help and if a member of staff spots you standing around obviously waiting for assistance they will walk straight past you and unless you chase or shout for help. My original plan was to purchase 2 gold fish which I had inquired about the day before in which I was told they couldn’t sell any fish to me that day for obvious reasons, new fish had just arrived. Came back the next day March 3rd requested help from a older lady which seem nice at the time but immediately shut me down saying I don’t not have the right tank capacity for the fish I am interested in which I agreed. I have two Tanks in my house baring in mind the tank I have in my room is a 24L the one in my living room is about 100cm in length, I then approached her again and requested if this tank would be okay, it was quite evident she just didn’t want to sell me the fishes, and requested pictures and asked me If I have anyone at home to prove my tank is ready and prepared. In other words she wouldn’t sell me the fishes unless I had photographic evidence to prove myself. Also to add she then went on to say they are no longer selling fishes today which was a lie as they offered to sell me fishes before the initial conversion and the ladder was present by the tanks before she approached me and didn’t at the time mention to me the fish were unable to be sold today. Horrible. I will hopefully get her name and add to this review. The staff are very fake very smily but not helpful or friendly once approached.
It carries a good stock, but obviously things get moved about a lot so you're never quite sure how much you're going to end up paying.
Didn’t have anything in stock, I asked a man if there were any trolleys in the warehouse (I used to work in a different branch) and he was really rude to me thinking I was asking for his and also said gypsys stole the others - which was a very racially motivated comment. They also have signs everywhere saying vets4pets is open 7 days a week, and it’s not.
I use this store on a regular basis for dog food, toys and other bits as well as its fantastic groom room. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much. I wouldn't shop anywhere else for my pets.
Nice pet shop! Stuff for dogs, cats, birds, etc. Food, toys, dishes, beds, etc.They have a dog grooming salon. I brought the boyfriend's dog to the grooming spa as a treat. She was really well loved by the staff, who are extremely friendly and know how to treat dogs. She did extremely well and looked so nice when we picked her up. They even gave her a little scarf for her collar! On the way out, we stopped and got her a pink donut toy as a treat for being such a good girl. Definitely bring your pets here!
