We booked a table for four yesterday and was shown to a table with three forks and two napkins. Anyway to kill the time my husband wandered around the restaurant and came back with one fork four knives and two more napkins! Hooray i think until we wait 25 minutes for drinks order only to be told that they had run out of two. Anyway the waiter ( who was trying his best) finally managed to get us drinks..again food took forever and it wasnt even busy. Husband chips cold so sent it back. Daughter pasta cold also sent back. Husband was asked if he wanted another meal or money back.Well by this stage we been there an hour so he crossed his fingers for another meal ( warm this time) hooray the second one was better. Daughters boyfriend ordered the refill coke but no one asked how the meal was let alone if he wanted the coke refilled ( if only the refill machine was next to the forks and napkins) at this stage i had regretted being designated driver as i wanted to down a large pinot with a chaser. Bill came husband meal was on it, taken off and then back on. Poor waiter at this stage asked us if we would like to see manager..yes please was my response and then we had another 15 minute wait where he came back and said she was too busy to see us but his meal was removed from the bill. In a nutshell dont bother responding this asking us to get in touch when you cant even be bothered on the day. The place is souless, expensive and a shambles. Happy christmas.

I am extremely disappointed with my visit to TGIF last week. We were a big party, and they never asked for a pre-order. But being experienced in these matters, I sent the pre-order to their email to ensure everything was smooth. The service was very slow (even if we pre-order) and you could tell that the staff (while they were friendly) they weren't very experienced. Which is not a bad thing, all of us we had to learn something new at some point, but there was a clear lack of leadership or someone organizing the floor and the orders. Burgers and ribs were fine, steaks weren't great but the Christmas chicken was awful. Dry chicken, burnt pigs and blankets, hard potatoes and veggies. My colleagues who ordered the chicken didn't want to make a fuss so I didn't mention anything. Anyway, I paid for the bill (including the 10% service charge because I felt sorry for the waiting staff, they were trying). Once the large bill is paid, we notice that they forgot to take off the deposit that I already paid. It has been 9 days and I am still waiting to get it back. I have already tried to call in several times but no one picks the phone. I went few days ago to the restaurant and the manager told me that it will be solved within 24 hours, but I am still waiting. I would not recommend TGIF for any type of parties or groups. Terrible experience.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. I ordered a burger for my partner as part of his birthday meal, and what he received was unacceptable. The patty was burnt so badly it crumbled into ash, tasted horribly bitter, and even smelled like burnt hair. It was genuinely revolting. When we raised the issue, the female staff member insisted nothing was wrong and that the burger was "meant to be like that." No apology, Just dismissal . To make things worse, the staff don't wear name tags, so it's incredibly difficult to even make a formal complaint about the experience. What should have been a special birthday meal was completely ruined. Terrible food and even worse customer service. Avoid this place.

Bit underwhelming. Food is expensive for the quality and quantity, the service was poor no wait staff at the entrance to attend to diners who were queing to be led to a table. The free scan and redeem free dessert card on the table was not valid for the uk! Food took a long time to arrive. Portions are smaller than typical Cardiff portions especially Nachos. The tex mex nachos had loads of jalapeños, no sour cream or refried beans (these were vegetarian) and too little salsa and guacamole. Mozzarella sticks were ok. The burger was good though with lots of fries. They charge for water. They have vegetarian and vegan options. Overall bill about £30

Visited TGI Fridays in Cardiff St David’s and overall it was a bit of a mixed experience. The staff were genuinely lovely, really polite and doing their best, but the service was just far too slow. It felt like they were short-staffed or struggling to keep up with how busy it was, which meant waiting a long time for both food and drinks. When the drinks finally arrived, they weren’t particularly strong, which was disappointing given the price. It almost felt like they were more mixers than anything else. That said, once the food came it definitely made up for it. The burger was packed with flavour, cooked really well, and the ribs were just as good, tender and tasty. Portion sizes were decent too. It’s a shame the service didn’t match the quality of the food. If you don’t mind waiting around and are mainly there for the meal, it’s worth it. But if you’re after quick service and strong cocktails, you might leave a little underwhelmed

Worst meal I’ve had, couldn’t bite into the burger or cut it with a knife as it was so over cooked. The fries were rock hard that you couldn’t piece them with a fork. Ordered a refillable drink which wasn’t refilled at all. I was there over an hour, after the food arrived no one walked past (to check the food was alright or to refill the drink) until they came to collect the plates which I then explained the meal was inedible. Staff member just looked at me and said “overcooked? What do you want me to do about it?”, I said take it off the bill please as I’m not waiting for another one, I’ve been here nearly an hour now. When paying team member left the tip option open on the card machine which wasn’t warranted given the food and the fact the drink wasn’t refilled.

Went on a Monday night for dinner with my friend. We ordered the 2 course meals each wherein we can either select the appetizers or the desert. The hot wings were delicious!! They were fiery and the chicken was so tender... Loved the taste. Unfortunately the burgers were very dry. We had ordered two different burgers, but the patty tasted the same. It lacked salt. The dessert was tasty. The fudge was very soft and chocolaty and was well balanced with vanilla ice-cream. The service was a little slow, but we enjoyed our time!

Not as good as it used to be. 35m wait for our drinks. 45m wait for the bill. It wasn't exactly busy either for a Sunday evening. The food was good but the service was appalling. Word or warning, if you have the Gluten Free burger maybe ask for it without the Bun, it's rock-hard.

The service was amazing, perhaps the best I've ever experienced. There weren't many vegetarian options as I went with a vegetarian (I am a meat eater). The beyond burger was very good (especially for a vegetarian burger). The cream soda wasn't sugary enough. The chicken finger were very good too. It wasn't cheap but definitely worth it, I recommend it as more of a birthday eat out than something casual. Please note that this is upstairs so if you are afraid of heights stick to the storefronts.

Very very disappointing to say the least. The best part about the meal, was how quick we were seated. It took the waiter 20 minutes to decide to take our over, and another 50 minutes to bring our food. Whilst waiting for the food, they served us our drinks, twice, to the wrong person each time, having to identify ourselves they were wrong to swap them over. And then they delivered the wrong drink altogether. After the 50 minute wait, at 30 minutes we asked for an update, the lady walking around with a cast on her arm practically doing nothing, went half way down the stairs, and came back up and sent someone else to find out, to which no one came back with any answers. Food finally arrives, hurrayyyyyyyy! The ultimate ribs, were more cold than warm, the side of coleslaw looked like 90% of it was missing and the “pot of sauce” was practically empty. Corn on the cob was dry and tasteless. Shocker, the upgraded fries were normal and not upgraded. Advise they should be garlic fries and to my surprise they were quick to come, but the replacement pot of sauce for the ribs never showed up. Finally asked for the bill, and 10 minutes in, the waiter with the cast on her arm comes back asking if we have had it, which is who we asked to give it to us. So clearly not. We ordered sour cream as a side, and got given what can only be described as warm cream Fridays use to be an all time favourite for quick dining, with good food. Shame it’s completely lost its sense of fun dining.
