Didn’t even get to go past the cashier. We asked if they could exchange 2 50p coins for £1 so we could get a trolley (planning to do a big shop for 10 pets!) the person at the cashier just said no. We went away shocked by the unhelpfulness. Went to Jolleys a few mins away who were so friendly and even gave us a little trolley coin to keep.
Has most of the items you would need for various pets. I have a ball python and the staff an knowledgeable about them and have the frozen rats i need for food. Staff all seem like genuine pet lovers/animal lovers which goes a long way in these kind of stores. Shoped here for many years for dog/snake/guinea pigs. Always helpfull.
Lauren was so incredibly helpful, her enthusiasm and love for animals is absolutely palpable! She gave us incredible advice, alongside plenty of options! She made us feel so much more prepared for our kitten. Couldn’t have asked for better customer service, thank you Lauren.
I took my two children to the pets workshop today. We ended up being the only people to turn up for the workshop and had the most amazing time. Ella was amazing! She showed us every animal we wanted to see, my girls had cuddles with all the animals and even fed the fish. Ella took so much time with my girls and answered every question they threw at her, which was a lot! She was patient and kind and my girls had the best time. Ella was also very kind and gentle when handling the animals and obviously cares about them all. Thank you Ella for your time and patience. Pets at home are lucky to have you

Good in general but at the cashier desk was asked if I wanted a loyalty card and was then told to download an app. The cashier could not understand I was happy to have a loyalty card but did not want to download an app. Did not help that I had a cat in one hand who did not want to be there. Next time offer me a loyalty app not a card.

I had a problem with my aquarium. Being a novice, I called this store and explained it all to the extremely helpful Jake. He recommended I purchase some Yoyo Loach. I told him I would be in before closing. Jake was there as I walked in, and directed his equally as lovely female colleague to get my fish for me. So efficient, I was out again in just a few minutes with my purchases. I am very pleased to report now after about 2 or 3 weeks, the 2 loach are thriving, and my problem has been completely fixed! Fantastic service by the Lakeside team, would definitely recommend!
