Clean but tired. Large room. Shared bathroom in the corridor. The only toilet was in a shower room. Sink in the room and TV but no kettle. Only 1 plug socket to use in a twin room. Free coffee available downstairs on request until 11pm but if you're upstairs not amazingly convenient although there's a seating area near the kitchen so there's somewhere to drink it.

This place is very underrated. The lady and gentlemen are very helpful and have lots of empathy for their guests. It is very clean and quiet.

Avoid. The receptionist spoke down in a patronising manner, which was very off-putting and overacting his role. Too much ridiculous things at check in. They still use a manual logbook for signing in, which feels outdated—if there’s no proper system in place, reception should handle this themselves instead of insisting to signing. The facilities were disappointing: only a small towel, a tiny bottle of soap, and no tea or coffee provided in room, no little table kettle - basic assortment. Room and halls generally very clean and housekeeping was well - bed was well made, but no sink in the toilet and a black mould patch under the shower aŕe ruining positive impression from cleanliness. Overall, I did not appreciate the manners or the service. I was disappointed and will not be returning, nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

Room: Plain and unassuming. Furnished with a closet, en-suite sink, bed with one pillow / flat sheet / blanket, chair, and TV. Would benefit from a small desk. Temperature was a tiny bit warm but the window does open for airflow. Bathroom: Shower and toilet separate. Shower is A+, great water pressure and temperature. They give you shower gel. No shelf to put things on in the shower sadly. Also, they have free coffee / tea! Overall, excellent value for price.

Horrible little place. Little wonder it's by far the cheapest in Leicester. If you can afford to, please stay elsewhere. The miserable, sour old couple running the place provide absolutely no customer service, treating everyone with utter contempt and suspicion. The first time I stayed here, on the morning of checkout (10am), the landlady came round banging on the doors at 9:45am yelling that it was time to check out. She sounded like a matron in a boarding school, it was no way to treat paying customers, no matter how cheap. I'm not ashamed to say I've stayed in budget hotels all over the world and never experienced anything like that. A subsequent time, my partner stayed here on her own for an early start the next day. Since she'd booked a single room, the staff did not even let me help her carry her luggage up to the room, because that would have meant 2 people entering the room. Unbelievably petty and once again disgraceful. You have been warned. It looks like this hotel does not respond to reviews, but in case they accuse me of not having stayed there, I am of course using a pseudonym. p.s. these visits took place in 2016.

Great value rooms and handy location for the main shopping area near the cathedral. The couple who own and run this do a brilliant job and are super friendly.

Enjoyed my stay here, if your out pubbing and clubbing buy some fresh water for your room as no drinking water in rooms

Very clean & tidy. Lovely owner. We had a queen sized bed which was awesome. Have stayed there twice now & will stay there again for sure.

Mattress was a bit uncomfortable as some of the springs were close to coming through meaning they were digging in. Free WiFi provided and tea and coffee available most of the day but no meals catered for so had no option of an included breakfast. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Service and staff great. The room was very clean and nice, although I did miss to have a desk in the room. Although on the front door said "Bed and breakfast" the breakfast was not.included as the staff informed, but they offer you coffee anytime.
