Unfortunately when I arrived the lift was not working and won’t be until next year. Not a problem for me as I was on the first floor but something to be aware of. I arrived early, before check in time, but they kindly found me a room that was ready. The window didn’t seal very well so I had the sound of the wind whistling through (it was VERY windy) but earplugs solved that problem. The carpets could do with a wash but generally they were ok. The bed was very comfortable and the room was not too hot. Nice shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good and relatively cheap. All in all I would stay here again.

I stayed at the Ibis Leicester City on Sat 29th November 2025 for the first and last time. On my arrival I find out that the only lift was broken and will remain broken untill January 2026. No communication was sent prior to my stay as I may have been inclined to look elsewhere. The room was basic as expected but there was what appeared to be blood stained on the carpet. The air conditioning/heating did not work. The TV did not work as the coax cable had been ripped out the back of TV (Room next door had the same issue). The safety latch on the window was broken and was a safety risk. The morning after when I went down to breakfast at 9:50 I was greeted by the receptionist that said " not much left but help yourself" when I complained I was told that breakfast ended at 10am but stated 11am on my booking. I was refunded breakfast but then had the inconvenience of having to go elsewhere. I emailed All Accor with this feedback last week but have yet to receive a reply. Is this really the standard that I should expect of Ibis ? Terrible experience overall !

Absolutely lovely staff. Made you feel so at home. Clean and well maintained rooms. We tried the breakfast too which had a good selection (both hot and continental buffet).

No lifts and no running water at night or in the morning, which meant I couldn’t even shower before a work event. Staff didn’t seem bothered about it at all. I had to walk up to the fourth floor with my suitcases, only to come straight back down again because neither of my door cards worked. A few rooms on the corridor had signs saying Ozone treatment, which didn’t inspire much confidence. The location is good and the hotel itself is fairly quiet. The room was fine, and breakfast was basic but acceptable. Even so, I won’t be staying here again.

Awful experience and customer service. Avoid at all costs. They have a ridiculous rule stating β€œno visitors allowed after 11pm” which is not available anywhere during booking or booking confirmation or something that is conveyed upon arrival. I’ve travelled all the way from Reading to Leicester to see some family and friends after several months. And we had 1 friend come back with us at midnight and intended to stay around an hour to catch up. We were told it’s not allowed and that it’s hotel policy to have no visitors after 11pm due to noise issues and other people requesting a refund due to disturbed sleep. We offered that if there any complaints the person will leave and that we will keep the voices down. But the manager was rude and too worried about other people and claiming this is a standard policy across all hotels. Ive stayed in Marriot, Novotel, others Ibis, Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, Voco and have never come across this ridiculous β€œpolicy”. This is not stated ANYWHERE in the booking process or booking confirmation and frankly is a laughable rule. If it was stated I would not have bothered to book with this hotel as it’s ridiculous policy for people travelling and often to visit family and friends.

Basic but clean what more do you need? Can see that onsite parking likely to be a problem if checking in much after 3pm. Very few spaces underneath the hotel. Next nearest is probably railway station. I was lucky got there at 3pm and got a space!

I had an excellent one night stay. Restaurant/cafe food was great for me, Warm Indian Salad and Sri Lankan Vegetarian Curry were gluten-free and very tasty. Staff were very helpful, especially the Thai/Malaysian (?) lady and the breakfast lady. The room was smart and modern and the bed was very comfortable. I thought the bathroom could have done with a little 'freshening up' as it seemed a bit smelly but not too bad, so 4 stars for that.

Very nice room. Bathroom smelt a bit but nothing too bad. Main annoyance is non electric vehicles parked in the electric car charging bays blocking the chargers so EVs can’t charge. Hotel does nothing about this, car park not monitored or anything enforced.

Always a nice stay at the ibis leicester. I visit when need if i am stuck in the past/due to train strikes lately for the day or two. All the staff members including housekeeping are lovely and attentive. Rooms are spacious with large beds. Agnes is always friendly and kind and remembers me on check in she is a star :) I feel safe staying here on my own and feel good knowing they have good security. I would highly recommend to all vistors Thankyou :) Miss Gharu

I'm giving a score of 3 star, because personally my room was good and quiet, 2 of my colleagues had no sleep at all due to the noise coming from the streets and they were exhausted the next day when we had an event in town. The service was good, staff were friendly. The food for breakfast was below average but I enjoyed the cup of coffee.
