I’ve never been so disappointed with a services as much as I have this weekend. I drove an hour to this place only to find out the spa and leisure is closed after two hours of our stay there - the staff did not bother to let us know, we found out as we followed the directions which was outside of the main hotel. Their response to my question of why we weren’t informed before our arrival was” that’s another departments issue, I can only offer you breakfast in the morning or upgrade your room” or complain to the agent we booked by and get a refund. We already paid for breakfast so that was not an option. The room did not smell clean and the bed was not made properly. We just ignored it. Upon arrival I asked if we could book a table for dinner, the receptionist told us they are almost fully booked but will speak to the restaurant and worse case we can also order our food from the bar if the restaurant doesn’t have capacity. When we went down for dinner, there were only two people at the bar and the restaurant looked 80% empty. The guy at the bar told us we can’t order the food there, I told him we were told to order here which he then responded to “sorry we are not taking any orders”. I went back and spoke to the receptionist who then went to speak to the restaurant & the guy at the bar for 30 seconds. The receptionist and the guy from the bar came back told us to go out and get some food and said “sorry I know it’s not your fault”. We felt racially targeted and felt very unwelcome, the non verbal mistreatment is only to be seen and can never be fully described. I just wanted to treat my mother but instead, we waisted our time and got mistreated. I will never return back here. If I could give 0 start I would have.

Went here for a wedding. Nice location but just a bit tired. A little bit soulless in the restaurant with hard floors. Staff were all good though across the board. Never used the leisure centre but it looks nice through the window. Wedding ceremony room was very nice as was the evening room. Drinks very expensive in my opinion (£12 for a glass of average Malbec, £9 for a vodka Red Bull). Evening meal was OK but expensive for what we had. Waitress very good, but overworked.

My husband and I stayed to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The staff were very helpful from the very first time we contacted them via email to arrange the booking with Roxanna. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb. In fact I would say it was the best meal I have had in many years. I highly recommend the herb crusted lamb and both my husband and I agreed that the sticky toffee pudding was pure heaven. Geeva & Gael were very attentive serving staff and very pleasant. We chose to have a few drinks in the bar and again, Ashley the barman was a delight. Attentive, pleasant and friendly. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we look forward to staying again in future

Liked · The restuarant was clean, airy, bright.. the staff were friendly and helpful.. when requesting extra pillows, a fan, another hair dryer, the staff from reception brought to the room straight away,. Disliked · The room we were allocated on the bottom corridor had dusty floor, dirty window with spider webs, the shower head never sat in its cradle so fell off wen the water was turned on, so so noisy with doors banging from as early as 7am.. the mattress protector on one bed had spots of blood on and a bath towel was ripped and black stained..the single sheet didn't tuck in as the mattress was very thick.. and a single duvet in a large double duvet cover?? We only had 2 coat hangers and requested some more but when 3 were brought to our room, they were bent and misshapen, they weren't worth using.. unfortunately there were no gluten free sausages, hash browns for breakfast only two options of gluten free cornflakes and gluten free bread..no dairy free options either..

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The room we had was a decent size and clean. The hotel is in nice grounds - hence it's a wedding venue. Staff were friendly and hard working. So what if the leisure facilities are in a different building and you have to go outside. The pool is a decent size for swimming lengths and the sauna and steam room were good. Towels were provided. Some of the gym equipment was a bit old but I wouldn't expect necessarily expect top of the range. Location was good for us to explore the local area. We didn't have an evening meal but did have the breakfast and there was a good selection of tasty food. We had no issues and I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful spacious, clean and comfortable room, Roxanna on the reservation line upgraded me for free! The room included 3 soft beverages a mars bar and a wide varieties of teas and a coffee machine. Nice large TV too. 3 course dinner was gorgeous. Good quality food with a touch of luxury. Ice creams were delightful. Breakfast was good with a nice range of English breakfast, cereals and coffee machines. Staff friendly throughout, faultless customer service even when problems arised. Could only recommend!

The majority of staff were very friendly, sadly a couple were not at their best. On arrival I was told the restaurant doesn't take bookings at check in but when I booked I was told that was the best way and the website also says to book. When I said this all of a sudden a few different options became available. The lady on the counter just seemed to want to get us through quickly which was strange as there was no queue, the rest of the info she gave me was rushed and unclear I returned later to double check with someone else on the front desk. It was a birthday present for my wife 2 nights away kid free looking forward to the spa which doesn't actually exist, there is a mini leisure centre on the grounds (not connected) that you can use but does not have spa facilities except a sauna and steam room. We were told the spa services (massages etc) were only available at restricted times at weekends but when we arrived it became apparent it was not available at all. The pool is in major need of updating the showers are rusting and falling apart and the set up almost took an eye as I entered the changing room as a bench with hooks is straight in front of you (pics included), the steam room is full of holes and a rusted vent struggles to stay warm, the sauna was actually quite good and was at a good temperature. The room (101) was very disappointing, we paid for the upgrade to a privilege room which looked nothing like the online photos. The included stocked mini bar had 3 cans of pop a bottle of water and a mars bar. Basic Nespresso machine and only 2 pods with no info how to use or which pods they were. It did have a nice TV with no remote, the concierge was able to get us one though. The room was very dated and could do with a makeover along with the 1970s bathroom, the only toiletries provided were a small tub of shower gel. The restaurant was a mixed bag, the food was excellent when it arrived correctly, my starter was wrong and my wife's main arrived (Xmas roast turkey) missing its gravy. Whereas the food was very nice the price for what it was is not, very overpriced. Breakfast was a pretty standard hotel buffet, 2 coffee machines but 1 was broken both days we were there. Other things to note would be the bins around the hotel were all overflowing including the dog waste one not far from the main entrance

Had a lovely relaxing spa weekend with my longest best friend. Evening meal was delicious. Breakfast also great, good choices. Had the most amazing full body massage with Areeni….I have never had such a great treatment and wished I lived closer as would definitely book in again. Staff very helpful in my opinion and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely setting. Room was nice. Only criticism was that the pillows were too firm for us.
