Well where do I start... first of all the star rating should be -5, 1 rooms... Not clean Kettle didn't work Toilet seat loose Just 2 small hand towels no others Just 2 pillows on the bed 1/2 a Toilet roll Very shoddy and dated First morning off to reception to report the faults, came back 6 hours later to find nothing had been done.. back to reception and was given towels kettle and toilet rolls, now correct me if I'm wrong but this is a hotel, not self service .. Non of the electrical items in the room are pat tested, no clear instructions to assembly points in case of a fire and I can't remember seeing a fire extinguisher anywhere 2 customer service There is non, when asked how often house keeping was done i was told every 3 days, we were there 5 days and saw no one clean anything the front of the building has a nice big revolving door and when the sun shines on it you can't see through the glass, I guess you could get finger prints of every guest from the last 5 years off it, 3 food Nothing special... bit like queueing up for school dinners but school dinners were more appetising (i hated school dinners) 4 the bar Well... be warned !!!! the pricing structure is variable, you pay £16.90 for a bottle of wine all week then they put a special offer on you get 2 for the price of 1 then they charge you £19.80 ... ffs don't question this you will have a very bad tempered little man being very aggressive towards you and an Asian man slam a price list infront of you and you get told to reed it.... back to the customer service... there is non, We were woken up at 11.40pm christmas day night by the fire alarm, everyone went to the reception as no one knew where to assemble.. people everywhere, we were all stood around for well over 1 hour and NOT updated on anything... the fire brigade turned half hour later, cut the power to the alarm system and left, what a total disaster Well to sum it up it totally destroyed our christmas, this trip with the coach cost just short of a grand, off to bennidorm next year!!! DONT SYAY HERE THIS PLACE IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.... ELITE HOTELS AND BRITANIA HOTELS GET A GRIP..... THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL DISASTER... DID I MENTION THIS WAS OVER CHRISTMAS.... AVOIDE AT ALL COSTS

We recently visited their place for a party, and our experience was extremely disappointing, especially because of the behaviour of one of their manager named Manish. From the moment we arrived, his attitude was rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. Despite us having a Disable member badge, he refused to allow us to park our car, yet he allowed someone without a disable badge to park without any issue. When we tried to clarify the situation, instead of helping us, he chose to argue, raise his voice, and behave disrespectfully. His tone and approach made us feel insulted, and we were forced to park our car far away due to his unnecessary attitude and rigid behaviour. On top of this, the overall services were far below expectation— the food was ridiculous and absolutely pathetic, with no taste, no quality, and clearly no effort from their side. The service staff seemed uninterested and unorganized, and nothing felt up to the mark. As customers, we felt completely let down and disrespected. The management, especially Manish, seriously needs to work on their behaviour, customer handling, and basic hospitality skills. Overall, a very bad experience and definitely not worth recommending to anyone.

The hotel looks lovely from the outside. Inside, needs a lot of care and loving. We booked a double standard room. What we got was a room with 2 single beds strapped together. We are supposed to get a double bed. The tv didnt work, cold tap was a drip. The extractor fan in the bathroom hasn't seen a duster in years. We stayed in room 448. Next to the lift. The room has no sound proofing so you can hear every conversation and when the lift goes up and down. No one was on reception when we left to give feedback.

For the price, I was expecting a little more. In terms of the room, beds are comfortable but I had issues with the shower, the temperature is too hot even on the lowest setting. Breakfast buffet is limited and not great. Dinner carvery was again limited with only one meat option for the carvery which was gammon, food was basic and salad bar even more so. The staff are lovely and the service was great although rooms don't get daily cleaning. For my one week stay, the room was cleaned once. Beautiful outside area with a Koi fish pond.

This could be a lovely hotel without much effort but it's hampered by too few staff and too many glitches. The staff I encountered were nice but not interested enough in their role to really work at it. Room was dated but big and clean with really comfortable beds. Bathroom with a real bath...luxury. Food was well cooked and plentiful but a bit uninspired and beige. Could have done with more variety of fresh salad and vegetables. The roast meats were delicious and well served. Bar area didn't have much atmosphere but the seating was plentiful and well laid out. My issues: The wheelchair lift was out of order for the whole week we stayed. I had an accident whilst visiting and needed a big plaster or dressing from the first aid kit...3 first aid kits and no plaster although eventually the receptionist did find me one. Accident form took an age to produce and the receptionist didn't seem to know what to do. The accident was the result of a faulty chest of drawers in the room, not sure if they understood that or fixed it.

I never leave bad reviews and rarely complain at all, most errors I accept are mistakes and usually one time things. This ‘Hotel’ however was easily the worst I’ve ever been in. It took 15 minutes to check in despite the fact the room had been paid for a week in advance. All the windows were open in the room causing it to be absolutely freezing (approx 5 AM when I checked in). The toilet seat was not even on the toilet, just placed next to it, and then I was woken up to the sound of someone in my bathroom putting it on the toilet the next day. No knocking or warning before entering. The toilet paper was soaking wet and damaged massively. After I was awoken, they started taking furniture out of neighbouring rooms and smashing it apart in the corridor meaning I could not get back to sleep. As I work nights, 12 hour shifts, sleep is obviously vital and I had maybe four hours. The food in incredibly expensive. And available at quite inconvenient times in my opinion. I was also awoken on another day by incredibly loud drilling and banging, as they put new furniture together in neighbouring rooms and the rooms above, this was shortly after mid-day and lasted for quite a while, causing me to be unable to sleep and to get a headache from the extended noise. This is clearly a poorly managed hotel, it does not cater to people who work night shifts like myself and my team and they have little care for their guests as an institution. I stay in hotels for work every week, all over the country, and this is easily the worst I’ve been in, which, considering the price, I find a bit outrageous to be honest. I would say definitely do not stay in this hotel if you work night shifts, as they have absolutely no interest in catering to your needs. The only positives I can take are that the few staff members I spoke to were very polite, and helpful to an extent, and that I didn’t stay any longer.

Fair price but you get what you pay for! Staff were lovely!! Room clean but bed hard and awful. Bathroom perfectly acceptable decor in room and hotel dated generally run down. The food was just about edible but weird very limited selection and so was overpriced for what it was. Didn't stay for breakfast. Only gave two stars as the staff were so nice and helpful. Such a shame as hotel has alot of potential

The staff don't appear to want to speak to you, they don't offer any useful information freely, you really have to work to get basics out of them - when is breakfast, do I need to book etc. Even then I didn't seem to get all the correct information. They don't even try to talk to you when the fire alarm goes off twice at 1130 at night, to let you know the building isn't on fire, someone is just smoking in their room. In fact (despite apparently a 24 hour reception) they leave the phone ringing for ages, probably until they can't put up with the noise anymore, before answering. The room is a good size and the water pressure for the shower is good. No one bothered to check the room inbetween nights so the tiny bin was full, wet towels and used coffee cup were still lying around. I also couldn't help but notice that the smell of weed was not unusual here, both outside and in the corridor.

It’s important to set your expectations correctly to avoid disappointment. On the positive side, for the price you pay, you get loads of space both in your room and in public areas. You get a big, comfortable bed. And plenty of fluffy towels. On the other hand, the furniture is old fashioned and, in some cases, shows a lot of wear. The dinner menu when we visited was carvery only. There are good restaurants in the vicinity so we went out. I know that some groups of sports fans headed for the local stadium would be fine with a carvery. The shower head was fixed and inseparable within a bath that was once a spa bath (the nozzles are still there) but is now just a bath. It served its purpose.

This could be a beautiful hotel with a bit of money spent on it. The entrance is quite grand and gives an air of opulence, but the bedrooms are dated. Still having old wardrobes and dressing tables. The bathroom had a small shower cubicle, but the shower head was leaking. As I walked into the room I could smell smoke. Someone had put a plastic bag over the smoke detector. Breakfast and evening meal are both self-serve buffets with reasonable choices. The lady that was in charge of the restaurant for the evening meal was excellent. She had time for all the guests and was managing the staff very efficiently.
