Ok hotel stayed 1 night. Beds quite soft. TV remotes seems to be kept at reception, I found this out when reporting the room had no tv remote on leaving the hotel. WIFI was good and free. Bathroom sink was blocked when running water filled up with no plug. Price reasonable, would not pay over £70 for room i had

Most of the mattresses are to old, the air-conditioning units are very noisy, had to get a change of rooms as the first room i had had 8 units outside the window, and the second one had 6 behind the headboard of the bed, The menu is very limited to a basic Indian dishes. I will be looking for a different hotel in February 2026

I recently stayed at the riverside and it appears to be recently refurbished and modernised. It's been finished to a high standard. The staff were friendly. The food was good. The tv stations in the rooms are endless. The water pressure in the bath will blast it off you. Wifi in the rooms are free and good.

This place is pretty awful. When we arrived the place looked tatty and run down, but we pressed on. There was no one on the front desk, so we had to find someone. On arriving at room 105 we found the bathroom was DISGUSTING. Mould around the seal, with what looked like moss on the shower head and pipe. We were moved to another room (115), which seemed to be better. We noticed quickly that the 'super king size' bed was actually two big single beds pushed together, which would have been fine except the mattresses were too small, leading to us barking our legs continually on the bed frame. My wife went to wash her hands and was burnt by SCALDING water, with no signage (required by law) warning about the water temperature. Finally while trying to sleep, we found the mattresses were so soft it was impossible. This was the final straw, and we went home. A horrible experience, and a place definitely avoid.

When we turned up at the hotel I thought it was derelict from the outside I did not have much hope of the rooms . Went to check in not a soul to be seen we went from one end to the other and did not hear or see another person . Once they did the staff were all very friendly. Key card never worked yet but that wasn't a bother just nipped back down, on going into the room I was prepared for the worst however the room had obviously just been renovated as we had brand new bathroom and furniture with new carpets . Air con a plus and for the price a canny little place and I must say clean . Breakfast is confusing as it says free continental breakfast on the big sign outside however we were charged 7 pound it which was fine to be fair you also have the option of a full English .My only negative is the guy is asking you to pay as your eating and to be fair could wait till you were done. Canny stay ,good room not sure if it's for everyone .
