   WOW what an amazing experience, I took my brother in law to specsavers in Queen street Cardiff today for a long overdue test. The staff at this store are amazing. My brother in law has a few ongoing health problems and from the moment we entered the store they were brilliant. The FOH staff, Sue, and the optician Sam( I think his name was) were brilliant. The gentleman we saw( I forgot his name sorry) were amazing, patient, knowledgeable and all round amazing.

   The pre-reg optician (Holly) was just all round amazing and thorough. I feel like she really took the time to understand my needs, explained them simply and well, and when it was something more concerning had the humility to get a second opinion. The team really made me feel welcome and even though I was there a while, I felt really at ease. Id give a better score but the range of glasses is too square and doesn’t have enough rounded designs.

   Eye test took almost an hour, although everyone was pleasant My prescription has changed, so I needed to update the lenses in my glasses, which they saw during the various tests and people I saw. They said they could change the lenses for me then, however I needed to get back to work as the appointment had taken so long. Travelled back into town on the weekend to get the lenses changed, only to be told they couldn't do it as I'd purchased the frames elsewhere So a wasted trip into town based on incorrect advise from them Very frustrating and disappointing

   I was attending for a two yearly check up, which they contacted me about. Found it very easy to use their online booking system to book a slot that suited me. I arrived early for my appointment and was seen early. I found everyone to be friendly and helpful. Each test was explained by the optometrist and they answered my questions. I selected a new pair of glasses and they were ready for collection a week later. Been using Specsavers for 20 years and have always received excellent service.

   I’m very pleased with my varifocal glasses I got 2 pairs for £288 which I thought was good value for money, as other opticians were charging £350 upwards. It took a while to get use to them because it’s the first time I’m using varifocals. But now I’m seeing great and the glasses fit my style too. Many thanks Specsavers.

   My experience with the contact lens optician today was really poor. He was so arrogant and arguementative. I went to buy a contact lens case. He refused to sell me one citing dont need one since I use daily contact lenses. He said he can give me one only if I buy monthly or yearly lenses. I have been a customer of specsavers for over 15 years and today he showed that they can provide customer service only if I'm willing to buy more. I'm really disapponted with his attitude. I went to Vision express they gave me one free of cost.

   Very happy with the service I received from Specsavers. Due to health reasons, I was allowed a home visit appointment. During the whole process of booking, the appointment and after care, their communication was excellent and efficient. I get very anxious about anyone coming to the house, but they put me at ease and were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Specsavers to anyone.

   Went in saturday with a slight eye emergency was seen to and they gave a very good examination and dealt with it promptly and prescribed ointment which did the trick was very happy with the attention and care received.

   I really like this branch. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Everything is well sign posted, and the wait times are very small. Everything is explained in a way that is engaging and easy to understand. The staff talk to you instead of at you. Great selection of frames and lens options. Prices are reasonable too.
